About

About This Business

Billy Bell knew from a young age he wanted to build his own construction company, due to being surrounded by sounds of construction.
“My family has always been involved in this industry, and it instilled that dream in me,” Bell said. "And not just for myself, but for my family as well.”
With support from his wife Misty, at 23 Bell took the first step by using their first income tax check to purchase a blade so he could begin working in their hometown. He said every Friday evening, he would drive back to their community after a long week at his day job, and be ready to start construction work on Saturday morning.
“Before long, I was able to acquire our first dump truck, which opened up new opportunities for our growing business. As time passed I sought out an equipment dealer to help me establish a rental. company,” Bell said. “Then we transitioned from renting to building the core of our construction business.”
Bell is proud now to be operating B&L Construction with his children. Kendall manages the office and behind-the-scenes work, while J.D. (Billy Jr.) has taken charge of oversight, overseeing deliveries and production.
“This journey has been a labor of love, and I am grateful to see my family carrying on the legacy,” Bell said. “Together, we continue to build not just structures, but a future for our family in the construction industry.”
