ON 7-11-23 I WENT TO SHED AMERICA iN TEXARKANA TEXAS AND TALKED TO GABE AND WE DISCUSSED THE SIZE OF THE CARPORT AND THE PRICE. WENT BACK ON 7-12-23 AND PAID $272.78 TO PAY A DOWN PAYMENT TO EAST TEXAS CARPORTS IN LONGVIEW TEXAS. THEY ARE THE ONES TO PUT CARPORT TOGETHER AND TO DELIVER IT TO ME AND SET IT UP. GABE TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD BE 7-10 DAYS FOR DELIVERY AND SET UP. STILL NO CARPORT ON 8-17-23. I HAVE CALLED THEM 3 TIMES AND THEY KEEP SETTING THE TIME BACK ON DELIVERY AND SET UP. IM BEGINNING TO THINK IT MAY BE A SCAM.Business response

Client was misinformed by one of our dealer reps on the timeframe. We are generally 3-5 weeks out on installation and she’s América had misinformed the client or not let us know of the order urgency. We apologize about the inconvenience, but the building has been installed as of now and the matter is taken care of.Initial Complaint

Upon purchase of a building from ************************* I was advised that they work with another company which is known as East Texas Carports and they would be the one erecting the building in which I purchased. I was advised that I would also be available to purchase the engineer specifications at any time for the building that I purchased. I recently moved and am requesting engineer specifications and willing to purchase. When I contacted ************************* they informed me they no longer do business with east Texas carports and that I would have to contact them about my concern. It has been over a month on obtaining the engineer specs for the building that I purchased and they stated they will not provide me with them unless they erect the building in the new location. I stated to them that when I purchased the building nobody ever advised that they had to do the work. Nor do they have a policy stating that they are always to do the install. I need the engineer specifications in order to use my purchase with my municipality and east Texas carports is refusing to provide me with them even with me willing to purchase which I was advised I could do so.Business response

We have contacted the client over this issue since the engineering company was the one requiring more info. We are hopeful of resolving this issue with the client and his new contractor to get these plans to him seeing as we will not be the ones taking down and re-erecting the building. We apologize about not being able to resolve this sooner, but most of the problems stem from the engineers requirements to get the plans made.
