Hello, I requested a quote on the following work; a tiny home, add on master bath with closet and add on laundry room during the month of January 2021. Of the several quotes I moved forward with Lone Star Builders owned by *** ***** with an agreed upon amount of approximately $68,000. After the snow storm, we readdressed price increase in material and I was quoted an increased cost to $73,500. To date I have paid $70,000 and have not one of the jobs completed. Today is December 7. *** asked twice before about more money and I refused due to the amount I have already paid and nothing complete. Today, he told me he wasnt spending any more money and I would have to pay moving forward. He has blatantly ignored our requests for receipts and has now stopped showing up to do work. I am fearful that we have spent so much money and nothing will be complete. This has given me so much anxiety I can hardly sleep. Ive reached out to builders association and tried to contact lawyers but no one has called me back. I dont know what else to do and now he is being disrespectful telling me what he is and is not going to do and when. I feel like I am being bullied as a customer because he knows what position he has put me in. He continues to not provide any receipts please help me I feel like I have been taken advantage of. Our hot water is now not working since he added the plumbing he has not addressed this, he said no one was available. the granite slab used on our shower was not chosen by us and he wont remove it. our laundry room design he wouldnt change and now I dont have a choice but to deal with it. This was suppose to be our forever home which is why we invested in it. I cant get any answers and I still owe the bank for the loan I had to take out I am lost please help me. I just want the work done and it to be of good quality. please help.
