On 9/24/2022 I was out spraying on my normal day of work and I developed a leak on my spray rig. So I went into Wiley spray company to get a replacement part for my spray rig. I told the gentleman behind the counter what I wanted they gave me a replacement part. In the box that the part came in was no information regarding the maximum pressure that the part could handle, what kind of chemicals could be used with this part and any other warnings of any kind were not illustrated on any documentation inside the box that part came in. There were no instructions at all in the box. I put the part on my spray rig it lasted one hour before it developed a leak. I removed the new part and put my old one back on, which was on for 7 years after I applied some JB Weld to my original part to make it quit leaking. I brought the defective part back to the store and I explained to them what happened and they refused to give me my money back they wanted to give me another part to replace the defective one. The counter man told me that the part is rated for 30 to 60 PS I the part that I took off the unit was rated for 150 PS I and that lettering was stamped into the body of my original part which was purchased from tractor supply for $29. When I took the part from Wiley off the spray rig there was one crack in the bowl so I wrapped it up in a big towel and put it inside my toolbox where I wouldn't get damaged. The next morning when I went to return it there was multiple cracks as the bowl basically came apart in like 30 pieces. The counterman told me that it looked like it was broken due to impact. When you look at where this unit or part is mounted there is no way anything could ever get there to hit damage or break it once it's mounted in the unit. I will be attaching documentation or pictures to prove where this part is mounted on the spray rig to show that there's no possible way anything could have got to it to break smash or crack the bowl.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/08) */ Mr. ******** did attempt to return a strainer that he had purchased from our store for a refund. Because this is a strainer and not a part that has restrictions due to PSI, the box and the strainer did not have a maximum PSI restriction. We did communicate with our vendor to ask them if they would warranty the strainer. The customer admits that it did not break in several pieces while it was in use in the sprayer, but rather when it was placed in the towel and in the toolbox for transportation. Due to the customer's handling of the part, breaking it in many pieces, the vendor would not warranty the piece. We did offer, and the customer accepted, a new replacement strainer since we could not warranty the strainer. ***** felt like a brand-new replacement of the strainer was a reasonable solution for this issue. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/04/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I had stated that there was only 1 crack in the bowl when I removed it from the spray rig. I PLACED IN A BEACH TOWEL THAT WAS BIG ENOUGH TO COVER AN ADULT MAN, AND PUT IN IN A SECURE AREA WITHIN A LOCKED TOOL BOX. THE NEXT DAY WHEN I WENT TO RETRIEVE IT TO RETURN IT, THERE WERE MULTIPLE s t r e s s CRACKS IN THE BOWL. YOU PEOPLE THINK I HAVE NOITHING BETTER TO DO WITH MY TIME. THE COUNTER MAN WAS EXRTREMELY RUDE AND ACCUSED ME OF LYING TO HIM. I FOUND HIM VERY DISRESPECTFUL CONSIDERING THAT HE WASN'T EVEN THERE TO SEE THE PRECUATIONS THAT WERE TAKEN TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO AN ALREADY DAMAGED PART.
