When I first started, HOTWORX, I absolutely loved it, but it started to get a little expensive. I know I signed in agreement about the amount I was paying. When I went to them about needing to cancel because I was unaware that I was going to have to leave my job , pay for college, and was paying for a wedding. They said OK you have to give us two months notice. So I put my account on freeze because I knew I couldnt pay the membership at the moment. I then called them back a month later and asked if I could go ahead and cancel. They told me I would have to come in to cancel. They also told me that I would have to reopen my account pay the full amount for the membership and then cancel which I was not made aware of this ahead of time. I was under the impression I would only have to pay the freeze for two months, not the full membership price. I was upset and I let them know kindly that the way they were handling it was super unethical. After a month, I decided that I needed to go ahead and reopen my account and cancel just to be done with HOTWORX because of the way they were treating me. I went in and signed a contract paying for two months and to cancel. I looked in my bank account the next day and I had been charged for, a normal membership fee and A freeze fee. I called HOTWORX and asked them why I had been charged for the freeze and for the membership and they told me that I still had to pay for the freeze till June. This is extremely unethical and the business is stealing money from people. I signed a contract to unfreeze my account and cancel, and they are still going to charge me for the next two months for a freeze and membership. This whole process was extremely unethical and no one I talk to was clear about the cancellation process because as I can now see they just wanted to take my money and as much as it as they could.
