I paid a total of $6501.42 in 2 parts: $2762.97 on October 24, 2022 and $3738.45 on December 20, 2022 for a two slab bookended black walnut live edge dining room table from Texas Pecan Wood. The invoice, attached, is the only document sent to me regarding the transaction. Texas Pecan Wood used AAA ****** Transportation to ship the table to my house. It was my understanding that I would receive the table in late December 2022. However, allegedly because of the winter storms, the shipping was delayed. On January 10, 2023, I was contacted by **** Trucking to arrange delivery. Unfortunately, they were not qualified to deliver the table to my home, and I was forced to reconsign to another company, DNS Moving and Storage on January 11, 2023. DNS finally received the table on January 24, 2023, and opened the crate holding the table on February 1, 2023. At that time, the table was found to be severely damaged and unusable: there were multiple deep scratches, and the table was broken into two pieces, along the seam of the two slabs that were bookended. I immediately contacted Texas Pecan to notify them about what happened. To my surprise, they completely denied any responsibility. They blamed the transportation company for all the damage and refused to consider the possibility that the table had not been packed appropriately or constructed appropriately. They insisted on filing a claim with AAA ****** Transportation instead of refunding me the $6501.42 I paid them. Unsurprisingly, AAA ****** Transportation denied any responsibility, and the claim was denied. Texas Pecan Wood continues to refuse to make me whole and refund me the money I paid them. They instead insist on me paying to have the table shipped back to them so they can inspect and possibly repair the table and then re-ship the table to me (also at my cost). Their demands are completely unreasonable and unprofessional. They should admit responsibility and refund me my money.

      ********************,

We are extremely disappointed that the walnut table we made for you was damaged in the shipping process. We understand your frustration and we apologize for this unfortunate situation.

As soon as you made us aware of the damage, we filed a claim with AAA ****** Transport, who needed a damage report from the company that received the shipment. We requested such report from

DNS Moving, the company you reassigned delivery to be made to. DNS stated in their report that they received said shipment on 1/24/23. The inspection of the shipment did not occur until 2/1/23, eight days later.

The claim filed with  AAA  was forwarded to **** Trucking, which was denied. **** stated that it is the obligation of the consignee to inspect freight at time of delivery. According to ***** you have five days to report damage to the carrier on

record. Due to the delay by DNS, there is now no recourse through the shipping company. We suggested that you reach out to DNS and see if they would re-crate and ship the table back to us for repairs and then ship back to you. We

offered to do all repairs at no cost to you, which we are still willing to do if you are in agreement.

      Thank you,

      ***************************
