We canceled trash pickup service with **************** Waste Management 6/5/23. Account was fully paid, cancellation confirmed in writing through their office the next day. No further charges were billed or drafted. We received a bill 8/5/23 from Waste Wranglers billed by Waste Connections/Caprock Waste ************ out of *******, **. We have never initiated communication or business with this entity. The bill was for trash pickup for July, however we have no trash receptacles belonging to any of the aforementioned companies and havent since early June. We canceled the account due to Diversified failing to pick up trash consistently for months to the point service stopped altogether. I didn't pay as I dont have any current service with them and didnt recognize Waste Wranglers or Waste Connection/Caprock and had no business with them. I advised them of this. I sent them an explanation and copy of cancellation email from Diversified along with explanation that we paid our final bill, haven't had receptacles since June and nothing more is owed. But I am now receiving repeated harassing calls from a collections representative threatening to send account to collections.Several of my neighbors are experiencing the same ordeal even so far as being newly billed for non existent pickups as recent as for the full month of August even though they have no trash receptacles let alone service and canceled service months ago but are still hassled for payment. Our entire neighborhood is being terrorized after we were given no choice but to cancel due ******************* going, for lack of a better term, AWOL. Endless mechanical, personnel, weather, technical issues etc. Consistent missed pickups til they just stopped coming at all. This started last winter and came to a head in May. Still though I paid in full 5/9/23 and canceled 6/5/23. Meaning I even paid in full for a month when virtually no trash was picked up.We need this to stop, and for them to leave us ALL alone.Business response

This account was obtained in a merger of companies. Any past due balances with the former company before the merger have been credited. The customer now has a zero balance after investigation of the account. No balance is due with Waste Wranglers or its parent company *******. The customer now has a zero balance. Thank you
