I've been monitoring charges from the business for the last two weeks after seeing the amount I was charged did not match my debit card statement. Not only do they overcharge your bank account over what you paid on your receipt but they also keep your change when you pay in cash and don't ask if they can you have to demand your change. The last several times I've gone I told them I wanted a receipt so that I would have proof of this happening. They have overcharged me almost every time I go into their place of business. I buy a 33.99 item and we have a 8.25% tax rate. My receipt reads 36.79 and yet my bank account is charged 38.08. Today my receipt read 45.15 yet they charged my account 46.73. I knew in my mind I was going to file a complaint so today I paid a special visit just to see exactly what they are doing. They don't give the customer the pin pad, as most people do. Instead they run it as credit and after your receipt prints there is a beeping noise and they press a button. The only thing I can think of that they are doing to make this happen is based on my limited knowledge of the systems. They may be selecting a tip for themselves without your knowledge or permission. I would really like my money refunded each transaction they have overcharged me without my consent and I want them to stop doing this to people. This is an ongoing issue that me and my husband have both brought up to them in regards to them withholding your coin change. I have not yet confronted them about the credit card transactions because this I have proof of and want to report as they have done it to me SO MANY TIMES without me noticing until recently. I have been going to this store for 8 months and I am just now catching on. It's likely others are being taken advantage of. If you take into account how many people visit this location there are a lot of people being scammed out of their money.
