We bought a 2014 Ram **** from Frontier Dodge in *******, ** on 11/01/2022. We were told to bring it in for their diagnostic inspection since it had not been done yet, so it was taken in on 11/04/2022 and we were told they had to fix recall issues with the transmission. I contacted another dealership like what was recommended to me, and was told that the dealership we purchased from reprogrammed the 'Airbag computer/module', reprogrammed the **** Module' and they replaced the Track Bar. The dealership I contacted stated that the modules listed above had no reason to be reprogrammed and we would have had to request that. We did NOT request such service and have no clue why they did it. They caused further issues with the truck which when we brought it up that it caused issues after what was supposed to be just fixing recalls, they said we would need to pay a minimum of $1,000 to them in order to fix it. Can provide more details if necessary. On 08/17/2023 I was looking into a new auto insurance and was told by State Farm that there was a nearly $160,000 claim made on the truck before we bought it and that it should technically be totaled. We were not informed of this at all beforehand and this amount of damage does not show up on the CarFax for this truck. Due to that claim, the truck is considered a high risk vehicle because it is not technically worth anything at this point. Meaning it is also not worth what we have paid/are currently paying for it. When I had reached out to the previously mentioned secondary dealership about this issue, they said it does not pull up for them either so I am not sure if it is Frontier Dodge that I need to file this complaint about due to the previously mentioned issues with them, or if this complaint needs to be against CarFax for lack of information concerning this vehicle.
