First my car messed up april 23 2022 4 hours away from lubbock, luckily i was in a town where i knew people and had a local mechanic fix it temporarily for 4 days, then on the 27th of the same month i was heading back home to lubbock and the car gave out on me, same problem. I was stranded on the highway for 3 hours. I had to pay $600 out of pocket to get my car towed to the dealership so they could fix it. I got the car back May 11th "Fixed", They told me getting it fixed would be covered under warranty but once the car was fixed i was told i had to pay $400 for what they fixed because it wasnt under warranty. 2 days later May 13th i was heading back 4 hours out of town and i got the same problem i had gotten when it first messed up, but i was able to take it back to the dealership to have them look at it. they looked at it and i was told the car was good to drive out of town 4 hours away, so i did. On May 17th I was driving back to lubbock, and again the same problem, this time even worse, a blown head gasket i was told meaning i needed a whole new engine, luckily it would be covered under warranty. I was not going to have a tow company pick up the car because of how expensive they are, so i told the dealership they would have to pick it up and they did.. They picked up the car on may 18th and got it into the shop on 19th. May 20th to 31st i was practically ignored. On the 31st i was finally told the car would need a new motor. From then i wasnt messaged again, after multiple messages checkin i n the car, until june 15th and 16th when they told me "waiting on motor" and "i believe we found one" on june 23rd they told me they got the motor in. July 2nd i was told "they are close to being done" THEN July 7th i was told "Don't have a eta" It is currently July 8th and still now word on my car. July 12th i was told they are "in the process of checking the bolts and hoses on the car" the car should be ready in a day or two right? no. has been 3 months still nothing.

      Business response

      08/08/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/21) */ Good morning. After an internal investigation. Tejas motors has determined that Mr. ******'s car was in the shop because of motor issues. The Tejas warranty covers engine, transmission, and axles. Our vehicles are repaired out our shop only. Tow fees are not covered. Mr. ****** got his car towed in which Tejas paid for (over 400). We had an issue with first motor and replaced that one with a newer one. (Distributor issue) That newer motor was 4000.00. His car is ready to be picked up. Tejas contacted him and he said he was out of town and didn't know when he could pick up. We cannot offer any settlement as we have repaired the vehicle, spent over 5000.00 in parts alone. In today's shortage of parts, vehicles we were lucky and spent more money than normal to resolve Mr. ******* issues. It is unfair that he can file a complaint and demands a refund when we have gone over and above to return his vehicle. All for him to tell us nothing about a refund when contacted on 7-20-22. (Which is not possible) Tejas Motors has documents, texts of communication with Mr. ******. The last conversation he said he was busy working out of state and unsure when he could pick it up? Tejas motors went above and beyond to honor the warranty and get him back on the road. All the while he was out 0 dollars. He is welcome to pick up the vehicle when he gets back in town. He has to have current insurance and be current on his payments.
