In my search for a specific factory build of truck, I found a pickup in the inventory of AM PM Vehicle Pros that matched my wants.I inquired about financing on Wednesday 8/7, credit was pulled on the Friday after that, and I received a call on Saturday morning where ******* told me that I was approved and we discussed the terms. He said that he needed identification and financial documents to process the paperwork, so I asked him to email me a list of documents needed. As their 2pm Saturday close of business neared with no email from *******, I called again to ask for the list of needed documents; he assured me that he would send it before the end of the day. I received the list at 2:45, and I sent the required documents shortly after that.I left ****** before 6am on Monday to go pick up the truck. When I arrived at the shop, he informed me that it was sold, that someone came in late on Saturday and put a deposit down.Let me know what other documentation could help. This customer did not have a scheduled appointment and did not have a deposit on file. AM PM policy is that if a vehicle do not have a deposit then it is for immediate sell. ******* went above to give ***** on gas for this customer pop up visit.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:1. Business verbally agreed to sale
2. Business acted as if transaction was going to proceed, including asking for required documents after hours COB, on the evening of the business day prior to the next business day in which the customer showed up expecting the transaction to proceed
3. Business did not mention a deposit required in the terms of sale

AM PM can not verbally agree to a sale. The contract has to be signed by customer and the documents received have to be reviewed by the Bank that is financing before contract can be finalized.
AM PM policy a deposit has to be left on the vehicle in order for the vehicle not to be sold up to 24 hours. In this case another sale person was working a customer on the same ******************** this customer was present at the lot, this customer had test driven ******************** and knew for sure that they wanted to purchase. A deposit was left.
It was not known the date/time that this customer(with complaint) would be coming to Lufkin.
Customer was given $40.00 out of kindness to help with gas. It is not in AM PM policy to give gas money for a vehicle that was not purchased from AM PM
AM PM intent is for every customer to be satisfied.

I am rejecting this response because:
******* said the person came in after hours and put down a deposit. He had already told me he would send me a list of the documents needed for the loan, so I was waiting on him. I called a second time 15 minutes before closing to remind him to send them over, and he said he would send it. Finally, after hours, sent me the documents required to process the loan.It makes sense that he would try to line up buyers to secure sales, and I wouldn't be surprised if he told the other customer that he had a sale lined up for it already, in order to persuade the other customer to buy.
