Gave Dark Mountain Inc. $10,000.00 on December 28, 2021, to order shingles to start replacing hail damaged roof. Every time I reach out to Dark Mountain there is an excuse or no reply. I am a senior citizen and need the money back as soon as possible. I am concerned as to where the money is. I have a notarized copy signed by ***** ************. Dugood Credit Union still holds the lien on my home. The papers were signed and notarized at Dugood Credit Union, Lumberton, Texas. All I want is for the $10,000.00 to be returned to me in a cashier check.Business response

I am aware of the situation and embarrassed that this has not been responded to or resolved, but I am on top of it now, and the customer will be given the option to replace her roof at a discounted level or receive a refund plus interest to make up for the major inconvenience and concern this must have been for her.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:. He responded, as he always does. He talks a good game, is very creative with his excuses, but I have not seen him since I gave him $10,000.00 in December, 2021. Ever time we scheduled a meeting, I would receive a call, sometime after the appointed time, with an excuse as to why he could not meet with me. Personally I consider him a *** ******. Think twice before you give him any money. THE ONLY SOLUTION TO MY COMPLAINT IS, FULL RESTITUION OF THE MONEY I GAVE HIM IN DECEMBER, 2021.

An agreement has been reached and agreed upon by the customer by way of restitution. The agreement has been met as the money has been paid in full back to the customer as promised (assuming the party responsible for handling the delivery has gotten it to her.) Although I do not appreciate being called a "*** ***," nor do I agree with some of what has been said, I most certainly understand ******************************** frustration, and I know this situation could have clearly been handled much better on my end. I have completely welcomed all of the accountability for how this situation was mishandled and it has driven me to take actions that ensure that this type of situation never happens again. We have hundreds of happy customers all over Southeast ***** who have strong testimonies, have built a loyal following, and have a reputation for leaving customers feeling happy and appreciative. We will continue to serve Southeast ***** with pride and dignity, and will strive to always grow, learn, and get better.Initial Complaint

In August of 2021 Dark Mountain Roofing was Hired to replace & resurface my fascia / soffit & eve's. It was explained that most of the peeling paint could be pressure washed off and was assured that they had done it before. The contractor they hired then proceeded to pressure ash the house and tear into the wood by using a high pressure nozzle and being to close to the wood. I let ***** ************ know of my thoughts and they looked and assured me that it could be sanded down. After a few days of sanding / stripping (with paint stripper) the hired contractor left and never came back. ***** ************ from Dark Mountain Roofing has with VERY limited contact without many calls and text from myself been unable to come out and offer a solution. I had two more contractors look at it and they state that the wood would need to be sanded and quick frankly should be replaced now due to the gouges taken out by the pressure washer. I offered ***** *********** the ability to simply refund me the $2000 down payment I gave him and would deal with the damages and future repairs with another contractor. He stated the $2000 was for labor already done. The only Labor that was done was damage. I am trying to resolve this without Small Claims court, but if I need to go that route, I will be seeking a refund + damage + any legal fees. I r I have a long string of text messages between myself and ***** ************ and should they be needed I can find a way to export them.Business response
