On April 10, I called Evolv inquiring of 1 bedroom and virtual tour of their property. I spoke with *****************************. She said she could show me 1 bedroom apartment via virtual tour. She told me to give her a few minutes and she would call me back for the tour. About 5 minutes later, she called me back for the virtual tour. I was pleased and was ready to apply. On April 16, I received an email from ***************************** stated "unfortunately, based on your rental history we will not be able to approve your application." I asked ******* when should I expect my refund for the administrative fee. ******* responded, "within 30 days." I am not sure why I was forced to pay the administrative/move in fee during the time of applying to become a resident. ******* also told me that she would give my file for the manager to review. On April 18, I received a "Welcome as our newest resident" with the new address (including the apartment number that I applied for. I emailed ******* and provided the email I received welcoming me as a new resident. I asked her why did I receive that email. I have yet to receive an explanation from *******. After receiving notification from ******* that my application was not approved, I applied with another apartment complex and was approved. I am expecting the immediate refund of $150 for the administrative fee/move in fee within 7-10 days. I am also requesting that Evolv does not report inaccurate information to the credit bureaus. I am requesting Evolv does not report to the credit bureaus fraudulent information, implying I was a resident.Business response

Per the application agreement signed refunds should be refunded within 30 days and this is the estimated time frame given to *****. ****************** application was unqualified on April 16th and a check was cut and mailed on April 25th. Unfortunately, it was mailed to ****** address provided as her current address in her application and **************** provided a different address for the check to be mailed. We have since contacted **************** and she has requested a check be mailed to the communitys office so she can pick up the check here. A check was reissued on May 13th and will be mailed to the community for *************** to pick up.
