I have been renting this apartment since mid January there has been ongoing issues since day 1. It started with electrical issues where we would be left without electricity, it took the company about 3 weeks to take care of the issue all breakers went bad. Then they say they are coming and never showed up. Till this day there’s a shortage in the living room that hasn’t been fixed. My kitchen had poor water pressure to no pressure for 3 weeks as well. I am not sure how these apartments ate being built because everything is poorly done. The neighborhood is pitch black because apparently owners don’t want to pay the electricity to cover that end. On Wednesday March I submitted a request for my refrigerator and no one came out I reached out multiple times and all they said is we’re sending someone and nothing I persisted so much because all my groceries had gone bad, and till I said I was filling a police report someone cane 4 days later , bad thing is they brought me a broken dirty disgusting friend so I didn’t accept it, then they brought me one that the door didn’t shut and claimed that the issue was resolved. I had just purchased 359 dollars worth of groceries and everything went bad and all they gave me was a $100 dollars for a family of 5 it’s ridiculous. As it is my account is negative balance because they pulled out my rent 3xs by mistake. This company is terrible worst management ever they don’t even screen tenants because on top of all this mess My unit was being mistaken for a another tenant who was selling drugs out of a unit I filled a police report for my own protection and my children. Another thing is the builder look into them I am sure they are not working a legal way because there’s so much issues my parking area is horrible and im not sure how the city allowed this I only have ine parking and im entitled to two . They charge whatever they want for the rent Out of all 4 units I pay the most and the excuse they gave me doesn’t make any sense.Business response

As per yesterday's phone call with the tenant, all issues mentioned in the complain were closed and she received a compensation of $100. Refrigerator was replaced yesterday for a brand new one. The building is a brand new construction and its under warranty with the builder. They are currently higher rents in the community, we are currently leasing at $1,350. As per lease contract, tenant should have renters insurance, they should be able to covered damages to personal items and the refrigerator items. The lease also mentions that service issues can be solved during reasonable time and they were all resolved. Landlord is willing to give a 9 day credit to tenant which totals an amount of $390.Customer response

3/8/2023, Rent Now Rgv office manager reached out to me yesterdayThey offered $390 dollars as compensation for the groceries I lost.
I will go ahead and take the $390 dollars they offered via Cash app
all I am asking is please keep up with the maintenance requests in timely matters
when submitted. I was also offered to move units but that is a big issue as we have already settled here.Thank you for reaching out to me and trying to resolve this issue. Cassandra *****.

I rented from this company for three months and had nothing but issues. They don't take care of fire hazards promptly. It took two and a half weeks to remove a lock that kept me locked in my backyard. They don't hold up their leases. They broke our lease because it said we had a mailbox, but for the entire three months, we did not and couldn't get mail because the post office refused to hold anymore. RENT NOW RGV knew about this issue before renting to us and decided to omit those facts. When we initially moved across the country, they promised our apartment would be ready, and it wasn't. We had to stay in a hotel because they rented us the wrong apartment. They did find us another apartment that was more rent, but we had no choice but to take it because we were stranded in a new state. The neighbor's children vandalized our car, and nothing was done. The final straw was that the neighbors had cameras right into our backyard, and RGV refused to address it. Because the lease was broken on their behalf, we decided to move out on May 28, 2022. They now refuse to give us back our security deposit claiming damage and that we broke the lease moving out early. We have videos of the apartment showing NO DAMAGE beyond normal wear and tear. There was a slight scratch on the wall from our bed that they claim took 200 dollars to fix. Our deposit was 900, and they said they are keeping the rest because we moved early. We moved because THEY broke the lease and wouldn't do anything about our male neighbor spying on us in our PRIVATE backyard. They are unorganized, rude, and unethical liars. All the workers don't know what they are talking about and never communicate. I want my security deposit back because they did wrong, and I was forced to leave that property because of issues on their part. We left no damage that they claim, and we did not break the lease; they did.Business response
