      It was the worst experience ever. Poor customer service skills, no attention to detail, and inefficient materials. Not even three years with the house and so many problems with electricity and plumbing. Please stay away from them. This is just a quick summary of the issues, but there are many of them, starting from the buying process, construction, and closing.

      I had the worst experience ever! I wish I would have never step foot in this establishment. First of all you get reeled in with a low square footage, EVERYTHING is extra. Communication is horrible with the admin team, it took admin 14 days to answer my message and this with having secretaries available to answer messages. Communication is so horrible that they play the blame game on each other and no one takes responsibility for their actions. I lost time and money with this company, from canceled appointments on their part ( which meant lost work time for me) to a surprise 6k bill that NOBODY explained to us. Along with admin not reading their own contract and wanting to charger me extra for things that were clearly stated in black and white. I was told one things and the next time I would meet with them they would tell me another. You would think that after putting me through all of this they would have the compassion to give me all my money back for all the headaches, anxiety and anguish they put me through but in the end they continued to try to find a way to squeeze every penny they could from me. Even after trying to speak with them about being reasonable about the situation, I was met with the worst customer service interaction, the lady was very rude and yelling at me in front of my 9 year old daughter with absolutely no remorse. I have saved for years to try to get to the point of having the downpayment of a home only to send it down the drain with this company that looks at the customer as a number and not a real human being. If you do not know how to read the contract offered with this company please do yourself a favor and go in there with someone who understands builder lingo and can explain to you what each section really means so you won’t lose your hard earned money and time. I had been looking for a builder for years and instead of experiencing what should of been the greatest time in my life, this construction company shattered my dreams.

      It is with great sadness to hear of such a misleading review made in regards to my company. Transparency is a key component here with Villanueva Construction. As far as square footage is concerned, we start at a base price and additional bathrooms, designs , heights , etc would be considered upgrades. So yes, it is low because we start at a base price. Other contractors start at a higher square footage to include those items which we could have done as well. These customers searched around and shopped around and made the decision to come with us for a reason. As far as communication is concerned, that is not an accurate claim and we have messages that prove we responded the same day. The $6000 bill they are claiming was not explained was in fact part of a project allowance that was explained to them (the document even states,” Notices: Client was made aware of the following expenses) . We highly doubt a customer would initial on an item that they do not understand. Additionally the contract used ( was a contract that their lender was wanting us to use) In that contract it also states in page 5 , 9. Changes. B. CHANGE ORDERS OF NECESSITY- Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 9.A Owner agrees to execute Change Orders, including any necessary increases to the Total Contract Price, that may be necessary to 2) Provide structural integrity to the Improvements. The clients were upset that additional loads of fill dirt were required on the lot that they owned. Unfortunately the money that they were wanting back was work that was already conducted and the only draw that was taken out in order for the bank to release the lien. The so called meeting Paola had with a representative never took place, this is not a way any of our members would conduct themselves especially in front a 9 year old that was never present. As far as the savings for downpayment is concerned, Villanueva Construction makes it easy to begin the process and only ask for $3000 down. Other contractors ask for the full down payment which in this case would have been upwards of $10,000. We can assure you that the contract was discussed, again , we do not think any customer would sign a document without knowing the details in the writing. Also, the customers are given copies of the contract and could have addressed any concern at any given moment. This was not done and complaints started after additional fill dirt was required for the structural integrity of their home. We would gladly send over the contract and information supporting our claim. The information is misleading.
