    Pattern of Complaint:

    Flamingo Pools has received multiple complaint since June 2023 exhibiting the following pattern of complaints.

     

    Complainants are reporting they have placed a deposit with the owner. The work has started in some cases over a year ago, but it is not being completed. Consumers are requesting a refund.  Company is not responding to consumer calls, emails, or text messages.  Other consumer’s complaints are stating while their pool is under warranty, the company is not honoring the warranty.  The company currently has 20 complaints that closed No Response/Unresolved from 2013 to 2016.  It has been reported the owner’s former company was shut down by the AG’s office. Unfortunately, it appeared he opened another company under the same name.

      on June 2, 2022 I put a deposit of $25,897 with Dennis ***** DBA Flamingo Pools for a 16x35 Latum Cancun pool. I have made numerous calls and texts to Dennis ***** all with excuses about why I have not received my pool. On April 28, 2023 he sent a company to my house to dig a huge hole in my back yard. It has now been 6 weeks, still no pool, with a big dangerous hole in my back yard and STILL getting excuses as to why I have not received my pool which was ordered over a year ago. I have sent him a demand letter for a refund of my deposit. I am now being told he is doing this to others as well.

      This builder violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act Sections 17.12 and 17.46. This company las a long history of violating the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act and was at one point enjoined by the Texas Attorney General for the same conduct that he continues to employ. Dennis ***** has repeatedly violated our contract, misrepresented the quality and grade of the concrete shell structure, he has abandoned the construction job and has seized communicating. He has stayed away from the job for weeks for several periods throughout construction. Despite our repeated efforts to avoid litigation and have him complete the job he fails to provide the service we contract for. To date we have paid $58,330.00, and we still do not have a working or completed pool.

      I payed $40K October 2022 to Dennis ***** of Flamingo Pools to complete pool project. We are now in middle of march and project is not even 50%complete. Continue to get excuses from Dennis as to why the pool is not installed and the completion date is not confirmed. please help me get a resolution to this.

      Good morning, I am reaching out because we received a letter stating we have a complaint against our company. We have been in contact with the client daily and his fiberglass pool is in our company yard. We were unable to set in the pool because of a storm that hit our area on Friday, April 28, 2023, causing mud that needed to dry out. We have a tentative date for the set in on Saturday, May 6, 2023 and completion date for two weeks after set in.        Began the process of getting pool installed in August 2022. Gave Dennis ***** $40k down payment for inground pool, patio with sink, firepit, and roof, surrounding ground cover, and fence modification. Finally got pool installed in April 2023, but company has failed to complete the remaining work. They keep saying they are coming out to work on project but as of June 1st, project only 60% complete.
