I bought a used car after mine was totaled in a wreck. It started having issues 2 weeks after purchase. I brought it to Christian Brothers in ******** because the car was having problems shifting and the check engine light came on. They ordered a new transmission for the car sight-unseen. They later determined the problem was caused by an incorrect dipstick. We were thrilled we didnt need a new transmission, however, they gave us a laundry list of things that they said we needed to do to the car. We had them do most of it and it totaled over $4100. They charged me $125 for shipping of the transmission we didnt even need. They charged me $279.34 for a battery! They charged me $90 for a bottle of antifreeze. In short, they grossly overcharge for absolutely everything. And heres the kicker! Less than 24 hours later, the car started shifting poorly and the check engine light came on. The exact same problem I went to them with returned. *** spent over $4000 with them and the car is in exactly the same condition. They warranty their work, but since whatever they did the first time didnt fix the problem, Im sure its not covered. I would be buying more parts, paying for labor, etc. I cant afford to do any more work. They assured me that the car would be in the best possible shape after they did all the work I paid for. Well, it isnt. Im back at square one.
