I bought a used car after mine was totaled in a wreck. It started having issues 2 weeks after purchase. I brought it to Christian Brothers in ******** because the car was having problems shifting and the check engine light came on. They ordered a new transmission for the car sight-unseen. They later determined the problem was caused by an incorrect dipstick. We were thrilled we didnt need a new transmission, however, they gave us a laundry list of things that they said we needed to do to the car. We had them do most of it and it totaled over $4100. They charged me $125 for shipping of the transmission we didnt even need. They charged me $279.34 for a battery! They charged me $90 for a bottle of antifreeze. In short, they grossly overcharge for absolutely everything. And heres the kicker! Less than 24 hours later, the car started shifting poorly and the check engine light came on. The exact same problem I went to them with returned. *** spent over $4000 with them and the car is in exactly the same condition. They warranty their work, but since whatever they did the first time didnt fix the problem, Im sure its not covered. I would be buying more parts, paying for labor, etc. I cant afford to do any more work. They assured me that the car would be in the best possible shape after they did all the work I paid for. Well, it isnt. Im back at square one.Initial Complaint

We took our car to Christian Brother's located at *************************************************** at the beginning of February 2023 after it was involved in an accident and needed body repair. We had used them on previous mechanical repairs and knew they did not do body work. I asked them if they knew of a body shop and they informed me they have one they have been using for years. I agreed for them to start the claims process with my insurance and work with the body shop. I was informed it would be approximately 6 weeks for repairs to be completed. As we neared the 4-5 week **** I called Christian Brothers and was told they still needed a few more parts and it would be another 2-3 weeks. I called again and was informed it would still be longer. I have had numerous conversations with Christian Brothers with each time a different story. I asked for the address and name of the body shop so I could go myself and was told they think it is ******************** but did not know where it was located. I finally got the address after they told me they Googled it. I went by the body shop and found the only work completed is the entire front end had been removed with the exception of the engine, frame, tires etc. A worker by the name of **** at the body shop informed me he just started working on it last week. **** also told me the name of the body shop is Viper Automotive. I contacted my insurance but they cannot do much as both Christian Brothers and the body shop are out of network. We chose to use Christian Brother's as our previous experiences had been great. However, this was prior to what I am told is then new ownership whose name is *********************. The two advisors I have dealt with are ***********************, Service Manager and *******************, Service Advisor. We are now going on 10 weeks with no definitive answers as each time I talk to someone it is a different story. I do have pictures of the current state of the car. I appreciate your assistance in this matter.Initial Complaint

I was in a car accident June 10 that needed body work done. I took my 2016 Toyota Camry to Christian Brothers Automotive McKinney on June 13, they have been in possession of the car since June 13, claiming to have been working on the body work. They told me 4 weeks would be the amount of time they needed to fix the issue. After the 4 weeks, I called and was told 2 more weeks. After 2 more weeks I called and they told me 3 more weeks. I waited 3 more weeks and they told me 2 extra weeks. I was promised the car this past Friday, but they claim to be finished with the body work and are now working on the electrical work of the car. They keep extending their timelines with no real end in sight. They've been in possession of my car since June 13, it's been 3 months of dishonest timelines for my car and the extension of these timelines keep coming. I've spoke to management of this establishment and they assure me they are working on the car. They may or may not be, I haven't seen my car in 3 months. I've been in contact with the shop but they haven't seemed to care about being in possession of my car for 3+ months and are showing no effort to finish the job as promised to me as a customer.
