I reserved Unit 44 at La Floresta RV Park and Golf Course, sight unseen. They said that in order to check in, I needed to pay in full, so I did. Big mistake. At this point, I had not seen the state of the unit they rented me. Within 15 minutes of checking into Unit 44, the power went out. I contacted the owner who showed me where to reset the breaker. After that, I reset it on my own because I didn't want to complain because I was worried they wouldn't want to return any of my money. I found out later that the unit only had 30 amp service - where others had been upgraded to 50 amp. The breaker tripped no less than 10 times during my 28-day stay. I had to keep a flashlight handy in a few places around the trailer for the recurring outages. I had to unplug all lamps, clocks, fans, anything that wasn't totally necessary. The hot water heater went out two different times, also from a tripped breaker. They should have had the switches labeled and the service upgraded. The cover to the toilet tank had to be kept off to manually work the float to refill the tank after every use. I called the owner the first time, and he said it was fixed, but it wasn't. After that, I just kept the lid off the toilet tank and manually refilled it every time. The water from the kitchen faucet had such a putrid odor I had to keep the windows open at all times. With temperatures in the 80's, that meant the AC had to run most of the time. The gas range required a lighter to use it, and when the range hood was turned on, the breaker would trip. With the mold and mildew in the trailer the AC had to run most of the time. The gooseneck under the kitchen sink dripped into the pots and pans below. The towels were stained and filthy looking, but luckily, I had brought my own bedding, towels, and cookware. The park was advertised to have WIFI, but it really didn't. The WIFI was so spotty and slow that it was unusable. La Floresta was an expensive lesson learned.
