      Transaction date was 06/13/2020, we paid $1,539.00 of $1,839.17.The business committed to provide a King sized bed only(no mattress), 1 Night Stand, 1 Dresser, and 1 Mirror. We were told to take our time to pay it out to allow them to build the item. Each time we called/went into the store he said they were behind/ diverse excuses. we asked for money back because it's been two years and other companies have the exact product. He continued to ask us to be patient and shows us his data base with how many people that are waiting for the same set. I have receipts As we continued to pay we became leery of the deal when we visited other shops without this problem.

      Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/04/13) */ The customer has tried to conceal the facts of the case for their own reason. The facts are as follows: 1. The customer entered into a layaway /special order contract on XX-XX-XXXX valid for XX-XXX days to acquire bedroom set (Copy attached) 2. The customer put down payment of $100- only on 06-13-2020 3. They made second payment $100- on 07-11-2020 4. They made Third payment $139.17 on 08-15-2020 5. They made fourth payment $200- 0n 11-07-2020 6. On XX-XX-XXXX Although they had defaulted on their layaway time validity , we allowed them on their request to relax the time limit and they paid $1000- making $1539.17 against $1839.17 7. They still have balance of $300- towards this layaway contract. 8.The customers came to store end of last year 2021 and showed their readiness to payoff their balance only if merchandise is available in stock. At that point we told them that the merchandise was completely out with the warehouse and since their was NO ETA we offered them to opt to choose/switch to some other bedroom available in stock as per their layaway contract but they chose to wait. 9. We are constantly following up our back- order with the warehouse on this "CAESAR BEDROOM COLLECTION" but this one is still not in stock. (GENERATION TRADE INC. the wholesaler/importer for this bedroom set in question can be contacted to confirm our statement. As per terms of the layaway/special order contract there are NO REFUNDS but we will happily ALLOW them to SWITCH to any other merchandise available in stock or they can wait for their ordered set to become in Stock. Although the customers chose to file complaint with BBB while hiding the facts, we still respect our customers and will welcome them for any further assistance in store. Thanks. We have checked with other furniture stores and they have the exact set in question, in there warehouse and they actually sold the set we chose from Mr. Z, the same day we were shopping in their store. We are hiding nothing we will go to small claims since he says we are hiding. When we entered the plan he continued to say we could slowly make payments because it is out of stock, we refused to continue to pay and listen to him give excuses. He needs to refund so we can purchase what we want not make a choice based on his preference. I have been transparent with BBB and this company and send pictures of all our receipts. This is not fair nor is it just. That 's okay lies fly but the truth walks and will eventually show up. We have learned not to go near this type of business Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2022/04/28) */ We as a business strongly believe in speaking the truth with customers regarding their purchases. In this case, unfortunately, it seems like 'the customers' are thinking that the status we are telling them regarding their order is not correct and that's most disturbing for us because that damages our reputation. For that reason, we strongly urge the BBB to call directly to wholesaler/importer of this bedroom set to confirm our version of the stock status. (GENERATION TRADE INC. PH # XXX-XXX-XXXX importer/wholesaler of CAESAR BEDROOM SET). And honestly, we even checked with our competitors if anyone had any set from their old stock/floor models that we could buy even at retail and give that to our customer to satisfy them but NO ONE had/have this in stock. Although the sales contract (already attached with previous response) governs the terms and conditions of the purchase between buyer/seller, we want to make a BOLD statement here that: 1) 'the customers' please provide us any store name that carries this CAESAR bedroom set, per your statement, for us to confirm and we will make an exception for you to allow REFUND to you OR 2) 'the customers' please acknowledge that all your negative comments/assertions made regarding our business were wrong and that you are requesting a refund for your own reason. We will still make an exception for you to allow a REFUND. We hope this will be fair enough OR the written signed contract by customer will prevail. Thanks. We have no reason nor the time to continue to insert false claims, nevertheless, this business continues to insist we are not being truthful in this matter. That is not the way we operate. We are being honest transparent which now it seems you believe lies are truth. Not so! We entrusted you with our hard earned money which may not be much to you but it is to us. We have all the evidence of what you told us. You want us to play these games in which you want us to provide you with the store information for your competitors, which are the ones who told us that something was not right about your facility. You are not prepared to purchase this set for us because at this time the set is worth more than it was two years ago. Since you have chosen to go this route. We can take all of our evidence and present it in court. We recorded you each time we came into the store because we became very leery after no contact was made. I am done with the back and forth. We do not lie. Which may be hard for some to believe in this day and time. You may say what you feel but the truth will prevail.
