  They came to fix pipes that where smelling up the house and they ran camera and said that would at the end to make sure it was all fixed. At the end plumber said that was fixed and no need to run camera again. But smells are still there just as bad as before and when I called them back they just said that I have to have more test run and all at my cost that they will not come back out.

  Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/30) */ On August 16, 2022, we went to the customer's home after another plumbing company cut the sheetrock wall in a bedroom behind the hall bath lavatory. There was a crack on the 2" vent stack for the hall bath lavatory. We gave her a price to run the sewer camera into the 2" vent stack to see if there were any other issues on the vent stacks. We found a break on the 2" drain line for the hall bath lavatory beneath the structure. We also ran the sewer camera into the master bath vent stack and into the main line and did not see any other obvious breaks or offsets. We recommended she has additional sewer testing performed after repairs. We gave her an estimate to repair the crack on the 2" vent stack in the wall and to tunnel beneath the structure to repair the break on the 2" drain line for the hall bath lavatory. On August 19, 2022, we started the repairs. We removed more of the sheetrock wall in the master bedroom to expose the drain arm. We chipped on the concrete slab to remove the cracked section of 2" cast iron pipe. We replaced the 2" sanitary tee in the wall along with the copper drain arm in the wall for the hall bath lavatory. After we repaired the break under the slab we connected the PVC drain under the slab to the existing cast iron in the wall. After our repairs, we placed our repair on test for 20 minutes with not water loss noted. We blocked off our repair and filled the section of sewer line with water. The city inspector approved our repairs. We then backfilled the soil in the tunnel. We did not state we would run the sewer camera again after our repairs. We recommended to the customer she needs to determine if she has any other issues; please see attached COD invoice. We also informed her we could perform a smoke bomb test. We would have to charge the customer for these tests. They are time consuming and can take several hours. We did not tell the customer we would run the sewer camera after the repair for free. We told her we would charge $180 to run the sewer camera again. We recommended additional sewer testing because a sewer camera only find obvious breaks or root intrusions. We have performed the services the customer paid us for. If she would like additional services, then it would be at a cost to her.
