BEWARE. This is NOT the Pool Builder for you. I'm in the construction industry, professionally. I have reasonable expectations of a project. My feedback is reliable and rational. I do not take giving bad reviews of any company lightly. Trusting COT was probably the worst decision I have ever made. I researched several companies when making the decision to use COT back in 08/2020. COT represented that my pool would be complete by Spring 2021. We are 10 mos since the dig and there is no end in sight. My site sat for nearly 5 mos after excavation waiting on gunite. Most disturbingly, there was NO communication from COT during this time. I was fearful the job possibly had been abandoned. COT apologized and promised the work would pick up once they were able to get gunite. COT committed to updating on progress every day going forward. I specifically asked about each remaining trade. COT represented that there were no other delays like what we saw with gunite. In 04/2021, the owner represented that the project would likely be complete in 05/2021. As of 09/2021, we are still waiting on plaster, I have no pool equipment, my yard is a disaster area, communication remains scant, and we have no projected completion date. Most disappointingly, 2 weeks ago, my PM stated I was "next in line" for plaster and sent me a photo of my name at the top of a plaster list. 2 days ago, however, I'm told that I'm now suddenly 5th in line to get plaster. I have given up any hope of reliable communication or honest representations from COT. I saw several good reviews and happy customers of COT in my research. Perhaps in a market with less demand, COT may have been able to deliver on its promises. However, that is not true now. Building a pool was a decision we made thoughtfully and intentionally as a family. This is a substantial amount of money and our home is our sanctuary. Delays are understandable when demand is very high. But, other pool builders are completing jobs all around us. I'm so disappointed that of all the builders I interviewed, I chose COT. Don't make the same mistake I did. At this point, though I haven't seen the Company's P&Ls, based on what I'm seeing on this job and similar problems from other customers of COT, I'm fearful they may go out of business before my job is done. They are clearly not equipped for a market like this one. Stay away. I will update this review once my job is complete.
