We had hired and were customers of Mr. C****'s service for a decade. He and his son then branched out into pool reconstruction (and the like) and hired others to clean customer pools. One of those he hired, George M *********** ********* worked for Mr. C to clean our pool weekly. He was also good friends with our old dog, so worked well. We recently got a new puppy after the old one died. George was in the backyard with the puppy, when the puppy started whelping and screaming...obviously it annoyed George (and they can be annoying) but the scream that came out of the puppy, who then came into the house and cowered since shows he was hit/kicked/abused. George was out of the yard faster than I could get there. Called Mr. C****** and he simply defended George without looking into it. Said he didn't care...go our own way...which is fine as there are many other pool services--but this--animal abuse--being defended by the owner of this business? He should never be hired and frankly, if he defends his workers who do this against long-term customers, should go to jail. This was a living animal his worker abused. Mr ***** made us oay $600 before he would start the job. While at my house, my daughter used her credit card to pay him. He told me once his wife confirms the money has been paid he started to clean my green pool. He took out the dirty filter, put on the new one snd poured the DD Powder & only the chlirine powder & left. Have text messages where he is just communicating via message. When he saw the pool was not clearing he told me to take a samle of the water to ******* **** ********. I did what he asked me. I am 73 yrs old & not that saavy but the saleslady at store told me the water was not bad but that I needed 3 items. Mr ***** had told me to go take a sample of the water & buy whatever they would tell me I needed. I went ahead & bought for the supplies and paid $89 but had a credit of previous purches & used my $9 to offset the amount. I was running out of money at the bank. I went home & texted I had the supplies. Sent him photos & the instructions ******* gave me. He texts me to call him. I did and he goes on to tell for me to do it. It was not easy but I did it the best I could. It took me 2 days and I texted him once the green settles to come finish the job. He never came to finish the job because he says I didn't do it right. He refused to come & we're having to hire another company to clean & vacuum & clean filter. Don't have the money and am having to borrow from my kids again which are furious at him for making me do the job he was suppost do & now blaming me for not doing it right. SHAME ON HIM for taking advantage of me. I widowed 6 yrs ago & told him my husband used to do the cleaning and am now having to pay for everything he used to pay. I leave alone and depend on professionals to do their job. Since he made us pay prior to doing the job, not much we can do. Please help others not to pay before a job is done correctly.
