I read the reviews for the MR. Handyman and most of them were good so we went ahead and hired them to do some child proofing, installation of multiple fans (7), and hanging some towel racks in the bathrooms. i wish we never hired them. 2 gentlemen came to my house in the morning and began to work on the child locks. They informed me that they would not be able to install the child locks on the drawers due to the thickness, but would be able to on the cabinets. So one of the handymen went ahead and installed the child locks on 14 cabinets (they left the hardware in 2 cabinets, but did not install them), and then actually installed the locks on one drawer, even though they claimed that they could not ,but didn't install on the other drawers. When the other handyman was ready to begin to install the fans, I asked him how long it would take and he told me that it would take 30 minutes. It was around 10:30-11 by now and I asked him to begin with the fan in my toddler's room as he would need to nap at 12 pm. After 30 minutes he had not finished the installation in my son's room, nor was he done two hours later. Finally at that point, he told me that he was going to have to bring someone back with him because he could not figure it out. At this point, the other handyman had finished child proofing and was working on installing the towel rods. When they finally left, they had been at my house for over 5 hours. We received the bill which was over $1200 for that one day and they would still need to come back to attempt to the install the fans. My husband responded and stated that we would have an electrician install the fans and requested an adjustment to the bill based on the actual work completed. They informed us that they would follow up. This was back in August. At the end of September, we received another email stating that they had not received a payment and I responded reminding them that they were supposed to review the bill. They responded with $100 off. I

This review does not reflect the actual work performed by Mr. Handyman at customers location. More tasks were completed and more work time was spent by our Technicians than listed on the review. We had informed the customer about our billing rates at the time we had booked the job appointment. On the day of the job, prior to commencement of work, customer had read our terms and conditions and signed off the job ticket. Customer very well knew the way our company operated and billed our customers. All the while during the job, customer never asked us to stop the work nor complained about the work with the Technicians. Once the job was completed, customer signed off the job ticket affirming she was satisfied with the job. As per our terms and conditions, customer was to pay us when she approved the job and signed off the job ticket. Regrettably, she did not. Customer told us that her husband would call us and pay. After couple days, the husband sent us an email and started complaining about the charges and wanted a revised invoice with a lower amount. We disagreed. Finally, after discounting the customer $100 on the invoice, customer paid for the service after six weeks, but threatened to leave a review.
