I myself travel for solar construction work and own an rv. I always looks for locations that can offer month to month rates and are semi close to current work locations. A few people from the my current employer found camp Langston near ********, ** (where work was) that also own rvs. When I called the place a man named ***** answered the phone as the person who takes care of the location and owners are an elderly couple that live on the land. I asked how much monthly was and he stated $550 all bills paid. Decent price but he stated the catch is a refundable deposit of $550 to move in due to the area. We could do cash or debit. I paid with cash. I checked with other people staying there and they paid the same. Fast forward 7 months later the project was coming to a hold and I got transferred to Kentucky. I contacted ***** and told him Id be moving later that week due to just being notified and Id like my deposit and the two weeks money from the month I had just paid. He stated no problem and he would return the money. The day before I had to leave I messaged him again and asked where the deposit was? He then showed up at the rv the next day and stated he doesnt give cash back due to it being a business and he would have to make a check with their accountant. I was reluctant to allow this and asked if he could provide cash. He did not. But asked for my address to send the check, so I texted him and went on my way. Two weeks later I still had not received the check and contact ***** again. This time he stated he didnt get an address and I noted the address I sent two weeks prior And sent it again. Two weeks pass again so I reach out to some of the other campers who had left as well and he has done word for word the same thing. So I message ***** again and ask what is going on and he states the mail is slow. I have called the owner and she does not answer and I do not believe she knows he is doing this not only to myself but to multiple of my coworkers as well.

Prior to moving to Camp Langston (travel for work so usually **** month stay anytime we move to a new project) we had spoken previously about there would be no issue getting our money back ($550 deposit and the days left of month returned) on the phone as only a minimum days notice would be given. Firmly agreed there would be no issue. There mustve been 20 or more other employees within our company there as we all work on the same project. As long as weve been traveling on the road, this is the ONLY campsite that hasnt returned our money on the day we have left. I let the maintenance guy know on Aug 11 as we were told our new projects and would be moving. Aug 13 ****** moved out, I notified him the day before he had to move as he paid full months rent. $550, Aug ***** is owed to him. There is constant communication until you ask about your refund *crickets. He stated he needed a forwarding address for a check, I provided that. Then he claims I never sent the address, so I sent him screenshots. My neighbor was going to grab my surge protector for me, they had already removed it and kept it (will try to locate that for you.) Which cost me $189.42 to replace. I now consider this ripping me and the list of people they are also being a ***** too. He has kept endless amounts of peoples deposits and refuses to send any money to absolutely any of our companys employees. Its a great place to stay if you love to be robbed. Highly recommend investigating this place.
