I had a mammogram performed at Titus Regional Medical Center on 5/3/21. I was told that if I paid $175.00 that day, it would be payment in full, and I would receive no other bills from the hospital, radiologist, or anyone else. Every month I receive a bill from the hospital. I call the hospital, they say they will take care of it, and that I will not get another bill. The next month I get another bill. A little research has shown that they have done this to other as well.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/09/23) */ Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) is disappointed in this billing experience for our patient. The patient account has been corrected to a zero balance and an updated statement showing this balance has been mailed. TRMC's Customer Service has called the patient to confirm the mailing address. The statement was mailed and the patient was informed of the new statement arrival date. TRMC uses ADVOCATE Radiology Billing & Reimbursement Specialists, LLC (ADVOCATE) as our third party biller for radiologist professional reimbursements. ADVOCATE processes the bill, collects the payments and posts into their system. All communication with the issue was happening between ADVOCATE and the patient. Once TRMC was made aware of the situation, our team assisted in resolution. During a root cause analysis of this complaint, we discovered our emails to the new account manager with ADVOCATE were not getting through their company security system. TRMC sends hospital adjustments through a secure email to the account manager for posting to the patient's account. To avoid this from happening in the future, TRMC has created a secured shared drive to share payment information. ADVOCATE has access to our secured shared drive.
