We contracted with *********************** and 4H Construction to build our home in December 2021. Paid builder fees up front, paid 42k for dry in materials up front, after pad was poured the project set dormant for three months. Once work began it was spotty in days being worked and material was not delivered or available, this after we paid up front to avoid that issue. During project ***** lied many times, asked for forgiveness and said he could not control everything that was killing progress. We gave him several chances, long story but project was failing. Final straw was a certified letter to us directly claiming liability for over 5000$ 60 days late against our project. We confronted *****, he did pay ****** of Mt Pleasant so the lien was released. We fired *****, but not before he requested and we paid ******** dollars for exterior siding, that was never ordered, we confirmed this with supply house, and he cashed out check. We have had an lawyer request payment and will be filing case in court to get paid. ***** has had several chances to pay, we have legal standing and proof to all claims. He also owed several sub-contractors money against our project, this confirmed in first person. *********************** is a bad operator, and 4H Construction is a sham, he steals from one project to pay for another.Customer response

In this matter with the Harpers, the project did not go as planned due to weather delays and finding reliable help. I myself also fell short on managment of this project due to having multiple projects going on at the same time. As far as owing several Sub Contractors on their job is false and can be proven. I have a proven business and have several happy customers. I do not steal from one job to pay for another. These accusations are false and not proven.With this said, I wish no ill will against the Harpers. They had every right to fire me, but there have been several accusations from ******************* about where I live and my family that are inexcusable and very unprofessional.--***********************4H ConstructionP.O. I am rejecting this response because:Several, three, contractors were not paid when job was done and 4H had cashed my check for that work. Some have been paid since. We have not been reimbursed ********* owed to us by 4H. We have all documents to prove these statements, including first hand knowledge from contractors, who are still working with us today. Any falsehoods claimed by *********************** can be proven as fact and will be in a court of law. BBB would be better served in separating from 4H and ************************ He owes us money and a public apology and should never do business again. There are several judgements against him already, research it.
