See attached document for full complaint details. April 21, 2022 I had an appointment for hair under supervision of Ms. ****** ****** and ********. I went for a perm touch up. I asked front desk to put me with a student who was advanced and about to graduate. I was chemically burned due to the student's inexperience (see attached for details).Business response

Please accept this letter as a response from Pathway Vocational Academy regarding complaint ID ********.We have received several letters from Mrs. *********,also have spoke with her on various occasions hearing her complaint and our Site Director Mrs. ***** ****** and Cosmetology Instructor Mrs. ******** at the location have met with her to discuss her incident. In addition,we did meet to discuss her request for a significant amount of funds and a formal e-mail addressing her complaint and a reasonable solution was sent offering her reimbursement as well as free services from the school. You can see the attached e-mail correspondence that was sent to Mrs. ********* on June 27, 2022. At this time,I am not aware of any acceptance from Mrs. ********* for the (2) cash reimbursements and complementary services we offered her. It is unfortunate Mrs. ********* received a chemical burn but as you can understand in our response that there is not certainty that this was received while in our facility, especially when it was 5 days from her visit until there was a complaint.
Pathway Vocational Academy remains willing to reimburse her as stated in the e-mail to bring resolution to this issue and feel we have been responsive with Staff meeting with her to view her complaint, phone calls listening to her complaint and thus making the offer for complimentary services as well as reimbursements noted

I am rejecting this response because: Hello I do not see the need to go over my complaint again but,I do need for you Mr. ******* to see a clear and accurate picture of my neck and hair loss,oh and the little chemical burns that you and your staff are minimizing you only presented half of my medical record to the BBB and total ignoring that my doctor referred me to see a dermatologist and prescribed antibiotics so I would not set up infection .you and your staff cause hardship for me just the pain and suffer that was cause by this alone is worth more than the little compensation asked for it took a while to wash my hair without pain from my neck and head I will not be treated less than your animals I am human with feeling.I decline your $18.00 back for the service that cause this injury and my $36.00 for my medical records that Ms. ****** requested and lied about.There is also a picture of the moisturizer Ms ****** gave to me on 4-26-22 to go home and wash my hair with it the first day I spoke to her she minimized my situation,she even offered to wash my hair with this moisturize that day if pathway cannot do better by this mishaps as I stated in my complaint we will go to small claim court I am not going back and forth with these lies let you lie under oath I will ask for everything in my petition ,court cost for filling and and my Insurance should not be stuck with the two doctors appointment,deprived me of a timely dermatologist visit and after care.also after speaking to someone in COSMETOLOGY TDLR INFORCEMENT DIVISION COMPLAINT they to are interested in this mishaps that I am going through.I only went to pathway because I was looking for a beautician and I only needed a touch up until I was able to have found a beautician.lastly I am wanting every video of this incident outlined in my complaint to be presented in court to show what I am saying is true about Ms. ****** ****** and ******** Thank you

Please accept this letter as a 2nd response from Pathway Vocational Academy regarding
complaint ID ********.
We acknowledge the denial from Mrs. ********* on accepting the offer for $54 and the free
services by Pathway in hopes of resolving her grievance. In a final attempt to bring resolution &
show good faith we will offer Mrs. *********:
1. 1. A check for $200
2. Provided a complimentary shampoo, condition and style every
other week until November 31, 2022, as a courtesy. (1 additional
month added)
In return we will require Mrs. ********* will sign a Release Agreement to end the
grievance.
As stated in the phone calls, end previous email correspondences, we are
sympathetic to your situation and offer our services to rectify the situation. We
hope that you consider and accept our offer and that this situation is resolved
amicably.

I am rejecting this response because:Mr. ******* the reason for this complaint with the BBB was to resolve this issue.The problem with this matter is that you take no responsibility for what happen to me in your establishment with that being said I had to think of how many other women have suffered from pathway beauty School,social media will let me know soon because this is not a isolated issue with that being said to add insult to injuries $146.00 dollars added on to your first offer of $54.00dollars no thanks my final decline.If anyone from your female family experience this type of hair loss and burns you would be furious,but since I am not I am less than and being sympathetic you and your staff are not your action and insults shows different I also decline letting anyone work on my hair from your school.I can wash and condition style my own hair.** ******* suggested treatment to my hair and scape to re grow my hair.The dermatologist is not off the table.I have to go to ********* Medical that's out of pocket for travel just waiting on this month appointment and also waiting for my beauty technician to come back from family emergency at ** ******* for my next appointment you and your staff either agree with my offer 3,700.00 dollars for hair treatment, my dermatologist visit as stated in my medical records,pain and devastating suffering blood,fluids coming out from my neck and the back of my head and if you decide to settle this with me the offer need to be so close only then will I sign a release form at the better business bureau no further action.We will just let the court look at the evidence,they may award me more than ask for after viewing all evidence. This has dragged on to long. 8-5-2022
