Transaction Dare: 3/28/2022 Vehicle: 2018 Airstream Grand Tour RV with a ******** **** chassis.We had a windshield chip repaired on this vehicle by Grasshoppers Auto Glass in *************. It did not look like a good repair at the time as before because the chip on the windshield looked just as big after the repair as it did before. When I complained, the technician assured me that while it did not reduce the size of the chip, it was OK because it would not spread because of his repair. The repair was paid by RV Clinic in ****, ***** as that was the agreement when I bought the vehicle.Two weeks later, I had moved the vehicle to **********, **. When I tried to have it inspected for re-registration in **, they refused to approve the inspection until I had the windshield chip re-repaired. They said that they could not approve it because they could put their fingernail into the "repaired chip". I had to have the windshield re-repaired by ******** Glass in ******** ** for $69.95. The vehicle passed inspection after that.While I would like to have my money back from Grasshoppers Auto Glass for a bad repair, I mainly would like to report the poor quality of their work to warn other persons.I called Grasshoppers Auto Glass 3 times and only got to make a recorded message each time. I asked them to call me back and never heard from them. Perhaps because on the 1st message I said I would like to have the money for their repair returned.***********************Business response

I apologize that you are not happy with the repair If I remember correctly we told you the repair would not run but we could not guarantee any aesthetics of the repair. Some repairs do not take the chemical as well as others, this being the reason we cannot guarantee visuals, only that it will run no longer. You asked ** if the reapir would pass an inspection in *************. As we are in *****, unfortunately no one at the company here has any idea what will or wont pass inspection in a state where we do not work nor have never visited. As for the calls to us, each one was returned and messages left but we never got an answer when we called. Being that you did not pay for this repair we would still go against our policy and happily refund ************ in buda that paid for it All they would need a to due is call us.
And its Glasshoppers Auto Glass not grasshoppers. Have a nice day.Customer response
