Hired July2020. Paid $200 for a HVAC service contract. Had summer service performed. Would not provide alternate to filter replacement needed. They insisted on selling their stock item at least 4-5xs more expensive than common retail prices. Requested my receipt/contract & not sent. Called numerous times & emailed to get owner or accounting department to refund 2nd part of service. There is no response by Mgmt to my request. Asking only for $100 for cancellation of winter service already paid, and I dont want them to schedule or perform. Have tried to resolve for months.Initial Complaint

We were told an estimate for a repair would cost $189.00. Instead, the tech gave us a **** for $816.21 which included 5 hours of sitting in a van looking up parts. When we questioned it and refused to pay it, the tech got very upset and started to state he will not be leaving until it is paid. Our employee got very intimidated and felt threatened, so she paid it. We want to be refunded for the difference between $189 and $816.21, $627.21Business response

$189 is the service call fee. This includes the travel and the first hour of diagnostics. From there it is $139 per hour. The previous person working on the unit bypassed all of the safeties and left the unit in a mess. Our tech had to thoroughly go through everything in order to get everything back in working order and to be able to provide a quote for permanent repairs.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: We were never told that there are additional charges. We should have been told how much extra it will cost for us to get an estimate of the repair to decide if we wanted to go forward with the additional costs. There was no authorization for anything more than $189. The tech sat in the truck/van for 5 hours and billed us for it. This was not authorized. He then intimidated the receptionist to pay the unauthorized amount. We want a refund for the unauthorized charges of $627.21.Regards,
