We saw and advertisement by Diaz Iron Exotics for wrought iron doors on ********* We contacted them on their page and soon were in conversation with them. On March 22, 2022 ********************** came to our home to gave us a quote of $7,800 He collected check # **** for $3,900 half of the money to start our metal door. The door was to be a custom fit powder coated, insulated door with swinging glass inserts for easy cleaning and a keyless-entry pad. The price was to include the removal of the old windows and door and the reframing for the wrought iron door. The door was promised by July 8, 2022 but was actually delivered on September 22, 2022. The door was delivered in the powder coated color we asked for but we were told the shop made a mistake and had not insulated the door which was to be included in the price at no additional charge. *********** and his employee came to do the install. A few weeks later the powder coated paint started bubbling and peeling off. We contacted Mr *** who apologized and stated that he had been having trouble with a few of his latest projects coming in from the paint shop with the same issue. He blamed the paint supply and COVID manufacturing issues. He promised to come for the door, cover up the opening with plywood and bring the door back in normal paint offering a refund on the extra cost of the powder coat, we asked for it to get insulated since already in the shop. That was done on May 24,2023. The doors come back on July 8th 2023, scraped, rusting, the flaked powder coat removed in some parts and re-painted in a different color that originally requested. The seals around glass chewed up, the tint we paid a glass company for was lifting and over sprayed. The glass frames were not sandblasted but merely painted over on top of the flawed powder coating that we had paid extra for and was promised a refund of $1,300 but never received. Multiple requested were made but after and ultimatum was ignored we filed this for a resolution.
