Brought my motorcycle to ************** of 1206 Cycles whose business is advertised as a motorcycle service and repair shop. I was having a problem with my shifter. Right away there were major issues with lack of communication. Several weeks would go by where I could not get in touch with him and had no idea what was going on. Then there would be an excuse, an apology and a promise to start working on the bike. This went on for 2 months before he finally got back to me and told me what needed to be done to fix the problem. He gave me a quote of $600 to fix the shifter and said I needed to do the 10K mile maintenance service as well, which I thought was odd because the bike only had **** miles. *** I agreed in any case to have that work done as well. Oil and filter change, brake service with brake fluid replacement (and I'm not sure what else, I never got an invoice from him). I paid him $1,037 through Zelle and Venmo. I paid him before the work was even done because he claimed he needed the money to buy the parts, the oil, etc. The same day I got the bike back, after another month of further cycles of unresponsiveness and excuses for the delays, I noticed it was leaking oil and pointed it out. He ordered a new drain plug and said he would come back and fix the leak. I went to pick up the parts at the dealership for him, and he never showed up and would not answer my calls or texts. I went to replace the plug myself and saw that the bolt hole was badly stripped, thus the reason for the leak, and would not hold the bolt. Again I tried to reach out and he won't respond. So I drained the oil so I could have a closer look at the bolt hole and discovered that the oil had not been changed at all. It was the same dirty, old oil. The shifter was fixed but now it has an oil leak and is going to cost me another $300 to fix it, in addition to doing the services (like the oil change) that he charged me for and did not do.
