I prefer to support local businesses, but my experience here was terrible.My daughter and I went here to buy supplies for a section of her fence, and gate, that had collapsed. The young lady who helped us was pleasant enough, but subsequent research showed she knew very little. For example, the straps she sold us were not suitable for the mix of wood and metal posts we planned. She also did not give us a receipt. The posts were too long for the fence, so we called to ask if they could be cut down. "We don't recommend it", we were told. Our neighbor quickly cut them with his sawzall.It took us several weeks to dig her posts out of the ground. Once that was done - the purchase was made seven weeks ago - we went back to purchase the pickets, and to return the clamps.The return was refused - the clamps were exactly as they were when purchased - because The Boss will only accept returns for 15 days. Even though we bought quite a few pickets on this visit. Perhaps if we had been given a receipt, we would have known the window. But what business refuses a return on stock items, when the customer goes on to buy more stuff?So I definitely cannot recommend The Boss, and will go elsewhere in future. ****** or ********** offer similar prices, a much more friendly return policy, and the staff there are not any less knowledgeable than The Boss's.
