I took my car to Hance's auto body shop 9/18/23 and as of 11/27/23, my car is still with them as they have failed to correctly submit an insurance claim. I was informed of the process when I dropped off my car and told to expect long wait times due to delays in insurance processing. I was made to believe that these delays would be due to my insurance company however this was very misleading. Hance's sent me on a wild goose chase by telling me to reach out to the insurance company to speed up the process. After weeks of calling my insurance company and being told that they had not received anything, I discovered that Hance's was not even submitting the claim to my insurance company, but a third party. I then discovered that Hance's had sent an email to the claims company to "submit" my claim however there is no proof that this was received or followed up on. After my vehicle had been with Hance's for six weeks and the insurance company had yet to receive a claim from them, I took it upon myself to call up the third party claims company who sent a direct link to Hance's to upload my claim that same day. Hance's then uploaded the incorrect claim for a different customers vehicle. At this point, I was pretty upset and after some strongly worded messages to Hance's, they were finally able to follow up on the incorrect claim and send me confirmation of a claim submission three weeks later. I still don't even know if the correct claim has been submitted. When speaking with **** from Hance's today, he was very rude by interrupting me many times and then informed me that I would need to pay cash for the repairs or continue to wait for unknown period of time. I understand that Hance's needs to be paid for their work however I do not find Hance's lackadaisical handling of my claim, their response to their mistakes, or the proposed solutions acceptable and I am requesting assistance in getting my vehicle returned to me.
