I had my credit cards hacked and owed Capital One a great deal of money. Credit Associates contacted Capital One a month ago and said they would settle for $5,759.66. I had $2,139.10 in the bank that I had been paying on the amount to get saved up at $300.15 a month and I had been adding extra amounts when I could. Last month besides the $300.15 that they take out all the time, I putt in $300.00 extra. Today, when I looked to see how much I had in the bank, I have $312,95. I called and ask what had happened to the money that I had been in my account. The lady said well we had paid Capital One $500.00 now you have $312.95 in the bank. I told her that made no sense. That they were just cheating me out of what I had put in there. I told her I would just borrow money from some other place and pay they off and I wanted to know how much the pay off was to them. She told me it would be $5,739.25. That didn't even make sense after all the months I have paid them and the extra money I have put in there. I would like to have an itemized statement of where every penny I have paid them has gone. They told me they have sent me that information and they have not. What are my options in solving this because I fell like I have been ripped off..
