On 9/19/22 I applied for RMG Groups Buy Now, Pay Later product. I was approved for a $500 credit limit. With this company they are not like Affirm and other well known BNPL models. You basically purchase a virtual gift card or visa card with a down payment and they bill you for the rest over the course of weekly or bi weekly payments. I ordered a virtual visa card and immediately had problems with this company, they overcharge me at the price of $209, i get emails from the company during very odd hours about how i was overcharged, initially only refunding me $24.25 and then I get another email that $187.40 had also been refunded. Then they put a new charge on my card for the correct amount of $94. This is where it starts getting real frustrating. They claim they had my virtual card and wanted to give me the card information over the phone, they only call a couple times while i was working. They then give me the option to receive it through email which i requested. Hours go by no response , no virtual card number. Late that night i get a email that they are cancelling the loan and i would get a refund for the $94, its back into my account instantly from ****** just as the $24.25 did. Now, at this point they still owe me the $184.70 as i mentioned above. I get a email from ****** stating the refund for the $184.70 had failed. I reach out to ****** and they tell me RMG Groups bank did not honor the echeck, thus no refund in my account. I have a couple of screenshots attached. So im demanding my money back with no luck, no responses via phone or email. Well, just last night they shut my account down giving me no way to reach them now and they still have my $184.70 as of this complaint.. I simply want this company to refund my debit card and go back to their shady business practices. I will never do business with this loosely organized company again.
