      We hired AAA Irrigation Service in late March 2022. We spent over $700 to get our sprinklers up and running. The company came out to fix our sprinklers. We were never given an invoice for the job(although we requested one multiple times). He set the sprinkler timer at 3 AM, so we could not see his terrible job right away. A couple weeks later, we noticed our yard was not getting any water and looked terrible. We tried to turn on the sprinklers. Only 3 popped up and there was a huge leak in the front yard near the street. We tried to get a hold of the company for 3 1/2 months; calling, emailing, and leaving messages. We could get no answer. Then when my husband finally called and said we were going to file a complaint, we suddenly get a call back. The man says he can not find the invoice and that he never came to our address. My husband has proof from our credit card statement saying that we were charged over $700 and paid it in full. He finally came by the next day stating he would be there between 1-3 PM. He didn't arrive until 5PM or let us know that he was running late. When he arrived he suddenly had a crumpled up invoice that was incorrect. He said that it would be 300 more dollars to fix the sprinklers because it was different leak/sprinkler than before. That is a lie. My husband watched him change some of the sprinklers that he claims he never "fixed". He is blatantly trying to rip us off. I am certain that the invoice that was suddenly found was completely made up that day on his computer because my husband and I know the information to be incorrect. It has been a nightmare dealing with this company, and now for the entire summer we have not been able to use the sprinkler system that we paid so much for. We can't afford to pay any more money and we paid him with the understanding that he would fix our sprinkler SYSTEM. There is no address listed on the website, and the website on the invoice is different that the one listed on the BBB site.

      Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2022/09/27) */ Contact Name and Title: John B****** Contact Phone: ************ Contact Email: ****************************** This is in response to the complaint to the BBB from my customer Mrs. **** and my work performed on their irrigation system on their personal residence in March 2022. My company name is AAA Irrigation and I have been in business for 20 years. I am a small company and perform all irrigation repairs and installs myself. I have developed a system to help me with all the clerical duties with my company as to having copies of all invoices, recorded calls, voicemails to help me with record keeping such as appointments, work performed and warranties that are covered with my work. I was contacted by Mr. **** in March 2022 regarding his irrigation system needing repairs. I arrived the next day and did a complete and thorough system check of his irrigation system. I discussed with Mr. **** the repairs that his system needed to get it up and running properly and the price for the repairs were discussed and agreed upon at this time. I proceeded to repair his system and got it up an running. I set his timer to go off at 3:00 am which is a good watering time for the water to soak into the ground. When the job was completed his system was running well and Mr. **** paid me the agreed price of $700.00 for the repairs on a credit card. I then email him his invoice right after his credit card processed and I have this verified and time stamped by yahoo mail. Please find attached the copy of the invoice and the email. The complaint by Mrs. **** stating that they had tried calling, emailing and leaving messages is for 3 1/2 months is untrue. Unfortunately for them, I have records and recordings of every call and voicemail received from Mr. ****. I will include these items as well as the pictures of all repairs needed on his irrigation system, when I went to his property to confirm whether any of these repairs were covered under the warranty for work performed in March. The repairs needed at this time were not repairs that I had done on the system and were new repairs needed. Mr. **** at this time told me that he would not pay for any additional repair. I explained to him that I would only repair the items that I had originally replaced on the repairs done in March as these were the only items covered under his warranty. He could not understand that I did not install a new irrigation system and the issues that he had now were repairs to his system that I had not performed any prior repairs on. I originally had replaced a few sprinkler heads and repaired a leak and those were the only items covered under his warranty. We have had an extremely hot year and to insinuate that I had the irrigation system running at 3:00 am to hide something wrong with the system is absurd. If the grass does not get water in this extreme heat it will show in a couple of days that it is not getting water and there is no way to hide that. According to my records, work was performed in March and the first contact that I received from Mr. **** was July 22. He did not leave a message as prompted, so there was not a return phone call. Mr. **** is indicating that his system was not fixed in March 2022, then I was hiding it by his system running at 3am, then it took him until July, 4 months later to figure out that his system was not working. The accusation that I only responded due to him threatening me on August 11 is not true. I have attached an email confirming his appointment was scheduled and a confirmation was sent on August 6. This was in response to a voicemail he left on August 3rd. My office was closed that week for vacation, but Mr. **** still received confirmation 3 days later and 8 days before his reported voicemail threatening to take me to court. I have never spoken to Mrs. **** and the accusations made against me and my company are not true. I keep very accurate records of invoices, warranties, phone calls and appointments. I did not arrive to Mr. **** home with a crumpled-up invoice made that day. I had printed his March invoice so that I had a record of the work performed in March, and he asked to see it. This invoice was not printed to give him as his original made up invoice as was reported in their complaint. I am a small business owner and take pride in my work and my customer service. AAA Irrigation Service is fair with all customers, especially if they are unsatisfied, I will do whatever is fair to make them happy, but I can not work for free, although I have been known to throw in free work to help out someone who is really in need. These allegation against me are not true and please see all attached documents to prove that I have been fair and legit with the **** family. I do not scam people and will always do my best work and if a problem arises, I will always work it out. I have been in business for 20 years and have never had a complaint against my name or my company name. I have long time customers that are personal homeowners and corporate clients. I hope this matter with the ****'s is cleared up and that this complaint is investigated and has a positive outcome for my company, AAA Irrigation Services.
