We paid what they told us which they said was what our insurance company wouldnt pay on the day of surgery for *************************** on 5/11/23. Our insurance company paid the bill in full on 5/23/2023. I have called many times for a refund of $970.40 and have been promised a call back which never happens and I dont get the refund. At this point Im looking for $970.40 plus interest ASAP.Initial Complaint

This is regarding a surgery my daughter had on Friday, 5-19-23. I used a third party financing through the hospital called Medplan/*******. I financed the amount of $645.15. I used my BCBS insurance, HSA and my husband HSA card to pay the balance for her surgery on the day of. ***** from the admin office at the Legent came out and took my payment. Medplan has confirmed that that I have completely paid my part of the loan but Legent billing will not clear the balance of $533.65 that they show as pending (they do not show the third party payment). I have asked that they reach out to Legent hospital and they will not communicate with each other. I have being trying to speak with both departments for months now with no progress. Sofia ************* at Legent hospital keeps telling me that her supervisor will call me regarding the situation but no one ever calls me. She's being telling me the same story for a long time. I provided all emails from Medplan saying that I paid my balance in full and those emails were send to the Legent billing **** to the attn of *********************** at ************************** and phone number ************. ************** then emails me and wants me to ask ******* to email her (billing) proof that they paid Legent the $645.15 that I paid Medplan. I told ************** /Legent's billing ****. that is not my job to do. This request from their billing office was I believe 2 days ago. I do not know what to do anymore. They are claiming to send me to collections over something I have already paid.Customer response

I have added additional documents to my file. One important document is the itemize bill from Legent ************** that does not include the Medplan payment (third party financing provided by Legent **************) of $645.15 is not posted on the itemize statement from Legent **************. I have also reported this concern to HHSC ****************************** complaint number 482481.

I have attached a copy of a letter that was provided to me by the third party Medplan financing group that was offered by Legent **************** I had borrowed for Medplan not knowing exactly what I was going to need but I only used $645.15. I have included emails where we talk about the balance back and forth with Medplan. I have provided this information to the billing offices of Legent Surgery Center. They did have not cleared my balance of $533.65.

Just wanted to inform BBB that I had also reached out to my health insurance for help - ********** Blue ******* - They contacted me yesterday with a email Health Pro Request # *******
They carried on the duty of handling all the calls for me so that it would not take alway from my work - they notified my that they spoke with ************** on 3-15-2024 and that my account is now at zero balance. I was given no reference number from the representative at BCBS so I hope this is true and correct. BCBS is telling me to reference number Sorina K 3-15-24 regarding the zero balance.
Just wanted to pass along this information.
Communicating with the billing office for this ************** was verify difficult and the ************** itself was no help at all. No one at the Legent ************** (*****, **) would call me back after leaving many messages. The worst place to do business with.

On January 28, 2022, I had a wrist arthroscopy done at Legent Hospital (also known as East ******* Physicians' *************** LLC) located on *******************************************************************************************. My insurance deductible was $3,000, and I paid my surgeon $500. I then went to this hospital to fill out paper work and we had an agreement that they would file the claim right away so I only paid the remaining $2,500 to them by paying $50/month, automatically drawn out of my account every month beginning in March of 2022. They took about a month to file the claim and I had to pay out of pocket for medications and other doctors visits in the meantime. The total amount billed was $48,338.90, the plan discount was $46,638.90, my plan paid $1,087.14 and the remaining balance was $612.86, which is what I also needed at that point to reach my deductible. I let them keep taking out the money since I owed the $612.86. I just realized that they're still taking out money even though I've already paid $1,000, and when I tried to contact the hospital, it turns out that they closed in January of 2023. I was eventually able to track down that this hospital was under PSN Affiliates, and I have tried contacting them via phone calls (13 calls, 9 messages) and emails (1), but have not gotten a response back.Initial Complaint

I had knee replacement surgery on October 27, 2022. My insurance, Cigna (NALC) completed payment to Legent Orthopedic and Spine Hospital (***********) on or about February 14, 2023, and we have been trying since April 24 to get reimbursed for our overpayment of at least $1294.92. We have made repeated calls since April (for 4 months) to request our refund payment. Numerous calls to the ****************** of Legent Hospital in ***********, ************ have been unsuccessful in receiving our payment. We spoke to a representative named ****** in the ************ of Legent Hospital who stated our overpayment was submitted for approval on June 12. On June 27 ****** stated it had been approved and we would receive a check. We asked how soon we could expect the check, she stated she did not know because it goes to processing after approval. On July 11, ******, another ************ rep, stated it had been approved not on June 27 but on July 10. We requested to speak to his supervisor. Supervisor ******* stated that it was forwarded to be processed after being approved but did not know who was processing it because it was a different department. On July 28 we called the ************ and ***** advised that it had not been approved and was still under review. Supervisor ****** said she could send it to the ************ marked "Priority" but could not tell us where or how it would be processed, they are all at remote locations and did not know where or how to call them to follow up. She said ***** was in ********* while she is in Alabama. We are senior citizens on fixed income, and it is now almost six (6) months since our insurance paid them. They owe us a significant overpayment. We called Legent Hospital, ************ on: 4/24/23, 5/4/23, 6/2/23, 6/27/23, 7/11/23, 7/28/23. Emails to Legent: 5/5/23, 5/12/23, 5/17/23, 5/31/23.
