I signed up as an independent contractor/broker for a company by the name of TruPowur. I went into this explaining that I wanted to use this brokerage to add to our existing business model and the owner, Matt Fox said this should not be a problem. We payed his company $4,000 up front for his yearly membership to start the process. We analyzed his system for less than a couple of hours and realized adding this system to our current business model and keeping our company identity (website, phone, email addresses, etc) was not possible with his system. At this point, we decided to cancel the service and not move forward with his company. We offered to pay him a full month's service charge at $333 for the minimal time and his trouble of setting up our login information and creating a username and email. It should be noted, we never accessed his site for profit, it was simply to see if it would work as he said it would and it did not. We have made numerous attempts to contact him. He initially responded and we explained our situation. At this point, he would no longer respond to our request to get our fees refunded. We sent payment to his company on March 3, 2022. After he no longer would communicate, we sent an official letter of termination on March 14, 2022. His lack of attention to this matter would keep us from ever doing business with him and his company.Business response

After several follow-up emails, we spoke on 03/02/22 at 11 AM to answer any questions about what we could provide, including private labeling of our proprietary platform. It was agreed that it was a much better proposition to use the TruPowur platform as is, since it has brand awareness, however, at any time, they could private label the platform. On 03/02/22 Mr. **** paid the Setup Fee of $4,000.00 with the knowledge that there are no refunds as stated on our site in multiple places, including the contracts (attached) that were signed by Mr. **** before any initial training was delivered. The supplied onboarding and training were completed on 03/04/22 (as confirmed by a signed QUALITY CONTROL QUESTIONNAIRE - attached). Upon completion, Mr. **** was given a Bonus Vacation (with a Retail Value: Up to $1,949.00 - attached). Mr. **** did personalize his Voicemail and Voicemail Drop messages 03/04/22 but opped to use the TruPowur name, rather than his own White Labeled version. On 03/09/22 Mr. **** contacted me with the following statement: " You/TruPowur has some great opportunity for us and we plan to take advantage of any and all sales opportunities you present to us. We do, however have to keep the O&M identity as well so we do not confuse current and longstanding customers so we want to combine our services with TruPowur in a way that is advantageous for both parties." I responded the same day with instructions on how to White Label the platform, which is also included on the Company Overview that was completed prior to our conversation, payment, training, and onboarding (https://trupowur.org/overview/) and available on https://vimeo.com/XXXXXXXXX. Mr. **** continued to use the systems, platform, and marketing leads until 03/14/22 (13 days later - not hours later) when I got an email with a letter of resignation demanding that we refund their Non-Refundable Fee. Then filed a complaint with the BBB on 04/06/22. Mr. ****'s access and accounts are still active, and re-branding is still available. If needed, I am happy to provide additional information. As it stands now, Mr. **** is in Breach of his contract and subject to additional legal fees if this goes any further. Regards, Matt D. This business is a resell of services from other providers. There is absolutely no reason someone should submit $4,000 and have no way to administer a refund if the service is found to be inadequate in providing the proper solution for a customer. There should never be a hard line drawn on a customer who is trying to establish legitimate business and your service does not provide exactly what is needed. This is a very deceptive practice and the process by the company should be thoroughly be reviewed.
