On 2/17 Dish took out the usual payment in the *** of $268.82 for internet and TV service from my checking account. Then on2/22 we upgraded our service to the Dish ******, with a promotion for 6 mos. at a new monthly charge of Around $109.00, we paid for Feb-March a that time. Then Mar-April was taken out on 3/17 for $250.20 again from my checking account. I have called several times, each time being on hold for over an hour waiting for someone to answer. I was told the first time I called by a man that he was refunding the first ***. and if the next month came out to call back to request that refund.. Come to find out they continually tell me they were cyber attacked and have no control of this matter. Can not refund me at this time and can not tell me if the next months charge will come out for another $250.20. They are taking out the old amount plus the new amounts. At this time they owe $519.02. I need this money back and no more taken out. I don't want to do anything to lose the new promotion agreement. I have changed the bank account to a charge card in case the old amount is withdrawn for next month. I find it really hard to believe they can do nothing about this problem.Business response

We are a Dish Network retailer in ******, **.
We are not Dish Network, the corporate entity.
We do not have a customer by this name, or phone number.
This consumers issue is with Dish Network itself, not with our company.

Supposedly when I upgraded my equipment I agreed to another contract, which I did not agree to. Supposedly I put in my pin to agree which I do not recall doing. I know I did not agree because I knew I would be moving soon. This is like a scamming way to keep customers to trick them into agreeing to a contract. Supposedly the automated service read the right to me about the contract. That is not right or fair. Is there a commission that the workers get for contracts? Is it possible the worker scammed me into a contract for their commission? I just wanted a system upgrade for better service! I am moving now and I do not want cable at my new residence. I want to disconnect my service. The person I spoke to today was very rude and condescending. I am a PhD student and will not need cable, its not a matter of payment but fairness.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/03/17) */ Our company has no record of this customer, by name, address, or phone number. In addition as a local Dish Network retailer we do not do equipment upgrades, we only sell new service. Only Dish Network themselves do equipment upgrades. Most likely this customers issue is with Dish Network, the corporate entity. We are not Dish Network, we are a local retailer of Dish Network. Our suggestion is for this consumer to contact Dish Network directly.
