I was working with Juanita from financial alms for the year of 2021. She was my accountant who helped me file my taxes and run payroll. In March of 2022 she agreed to help me file my taxes. She said she filed an extension for my family since she wouldn't have time to get them filed on time. I sent her all of my information for with our taxes and then never heard from her again. I tried emailing and calling her for months. She never gave me any of my payroll information or business tax information from 2021. Now I have a delinquent notice from the IRS saying that I owe $962.40 in penalties for not filing an extension. I tried time and again to get this information from her and her company and still have never received any word.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/09/06) */ Client only acquired payroll services, never book keeping, which we financial Alms were lead to believe the client kept records of transactions, including those of payroll. The client received corresponding payroll records back in March 16, 2022 the again in March 25, 2022 when client was filing tax report with a different firm. Client later stated interest in our tax services which were never conducted nor paid. Financial Alms LLC is and has been dormant since May 2022, due to COVID and health issue with the owner. As payroll report was given before the tax due date of April 15, 2022, filing tax report with the IRS before the due is the owners responsibility as the report which was again given before the due date at time of original request. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/09/07) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) It's nice to actually hear what happened, I'm sorry that health issues had popped up and wish I had known or just been informed. The issue remains that I was told an exertion would be filed and it never was.
