Date of purchase: June 27, 2023 Ticket # *** Total cost $11.00 ****************************************************************************** Ordered 2 x sonic cheeseburger and medium sonic blast via the Sonic app. Pre-paid for the meal through the app. When I arrived to the location, I was told the blast machine was out of order. I did not receive the sonic blast that I paid for. I was told I had to call sonic to receive a refund. I have called Sonic 3 times and was told a gift card was mailed out on June 27, 2023. I have not received the gift card as of 8/16/2023. I am unhappy that this company has deliberately stolen my money and refuses to refund the Sonic blast cost I paid, even though I did not receive the item. This company lacks ********************** with staff.Business response

That month the machine was down but only for a week, each customer was compensated before leaving the lot with something else and or come back at a later date to receive the item. The customer called the complaint line and money was issued back, as did the others customer from that week. Once the complaint is closed via the complaint line, i no longer see it or have to address it.

I am rejecting this response because:I did NOT receive a refund before leaving the parking lot because the employee told me I could not receive a refund since I ordered online. I did NOT receive a gift card which was promised to me by at least 3 employees after calling customer service 3 times. I was told it would take 10 days to receive the gift card each time and it was NEVER received. I called customer service 3 times before filing a complaint with BBB on 8/16/23.
This company has poorly trained and unethical employees. This is evident with the high turnover and teenagers working in these establishments who do not care for customers.
This is unethical and a blatant display of poor customer service by this company. Stealing from customers should be punishable by law just as those that steal from companies.
The sum of a person's actions will determine their consequences and the chain of cause and effect in morality.
