Currently the solar panels that were installed no longer work. My inverter has failed and I contacted ********* the company of the inverter to replace it but they stated that Aztec holds the warranty over this inverter. I have e-mailed, called and sent a message to get this resolved as it could be dangerous to leave it un-fixed. This problem has been going on since June of 2023 I have not gotten a response on having someone to com fix it or a proper resolution.

In August 2021 I contracted to have a solar/battery system installed on my house. They asked for a deposit $198,000 to cover the cost of the equipment, which I paid. On Jan 16, 2022 I got an email which stated "Distribution had a spike in supplies but prices have gone up. I'll be working on your project this week and will need a slight increase in the contract amount to be collected at the end of the installation.". I responded that "I will not accept an increase in price. I have a contract and you told me you had all the equipment ready to install months ago". On Jan 25, 2022 I received an email which stated "I would like to propose a 25% increase over our contracted price". To which I responded, that is a $75k price increase. I'll take my money back. You can keep $5k to cover the planning work. I have not heard back from them since this date despite calling multiple times.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/26) */ This contract was interrupted and delayed by the customer's desire to build (a space shuttle) a solid flat ground installation (inches off the ground), rather than standard ground mount or roof installation. This resulted in months of additional design work, HOA resistance and the customer not fulfilling his relationship responsibility's with his HOA. While this was occurring he agreed to the installation on his second house and then breached that agreement. Along the way the customer kept adding more request to our original design and contract to satisfy his HOA. When we informed him of the additional cost he refused to pay it. All of this was occurring during COVID and supply chain issues where adding cost the project. Since signing the original contract, solar panels had increased by 40% and steel 70%. If it was not for the customer delays and additions this custom design project could have been finished within 60 days, while a standard ground mount could have been completed in 30 days and roof installation in 10-15 days and we could have avoided additional inflation cost. We now have losses on two projects and had been waiting on him to report his HOA approval since 1-29-22. He emailed us on 7-19 requesting a refund and yet breaching his second agreement under the threat of slander. This out of the blue request comes at a very bad time (reported to him) and is not manageable by me at this very second. We just buried my mother-in-law (after 6 months of hospice) and my son is right now in the hospital and may lose his 7 year fight with cancer. I told him, it was impossible to give his project the immediate attention he demanded to process our losses and available refund. I told him my family was grieving and quite possibly may be losing my only son and father to my 3 grandsons. He is at T-Boons Cancer center dying as respond to the demands of this man and the deadline of my complaint response. He acted on his threat of slander and this has now been given to our attorney. He should be receiving a cease and desist order this week. I'm not sure what he's been doing since January, but asking me to step away from my son while he jumps up and down is not going to happen. If he can wait this long, he can wait a little bit more. He claims to be a crypto millionaire, I would not expect him to be so heartless. Our attorney will be settling this matter on my time availability. Both his council and Aztec's have communicated in the last few days. We asked him to remove this false complaint as we work towards a settlement. Heartless *** ******* - ************************************************************************************************************ Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/27) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The response is full of misrepresentation and completely false claims. He mixes irrelevant personal information without outright lies about the existence of a second contract. The HOA requires information, diagrams, in a particular manner which he was unable to produce for me to provide to them. Rather than produce a detailed accounting of where he spent $198k intended for equipment he told me to contact his attorney. He no longer has the ability to perform (claims long Covid) and says he hasn't done any other jobs this year. His design engineer (the guys who actually do the work) have had their numbers disconnected and emails don't work. This is a zombie company.
