My long time friend called me when he was at Atuoflex and stated he was sitting with the manager at the time named ******. He asked if I could cosign and ****** got on the phone and said he just needed me to ****** as my friend's credit wasn't that good to do it alone. He stated after 4 months of showing he could make the pmnts on time ****** would then put the financing in my friend's name and drop my name and responsibility. I agreed as it was just 4 months and I would be off the paperwork. Well when I got there to sign the paperwork I was told all this once again fave to face and I specsaid I'm only cosigning and want my name taken off in 4 months. ****** agreed and said he would do the refinancing in my friend's name. Well I tried to buy a house a year ago and they pulled up that the car was in my name, my name alone!! Which was not agreed upon seeing that I sat their and watched my friend sign the paperwork also. I was so upset that ****** lied to me about cosigning just to have it under my name and 2nd that he never did the refinancing for just my friend. I never got any paperwork that day until about 2 months ago when my friend sent me what they sent him. No my friend states he is going through a hardship and has been late on pmnts causing my credit to go down significantly. I'm so frustrated because now my friend wants to hand me the car since it's in my name and he still can't refinance it in his name and no one he knows can refinance since they all have bad credit. I'm so upset that ****** lied to me to my face just for a sale. He is no longer there. My friend and I are both witnesses to what was told. I do not want this car as I live out in the country and have no need for a camaro on country dirt roads. This is causing me horrible anxiety and health issues as now I don't know what I'm supposed to do since this was no longer supposed to have my name on it.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/31) */ Our records show that only one set of documents was ever printed from our system and ****** ******** was the only person listed on the paperwork. The signed copy of documents only has ****** ********'s signature on them. With any cosigner contract, both the buyer and the co-buyer would have been listed on one document. There was never any set of documents with an additional buyer listed. ****** called into the dealership recently and communicated her frustration to a manager. The manager explained to ****** that everything we have only has her name on it and her signatures. He also offered ****** a solution to her problem in potentially trading the vehicle referenced above along with another vehicle in her household for a newer one. This would have remedied her situation. Unfortunately, we have not heard back from ****** on this matter. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/10/12) */ So the option I was given was to turn back the Camaro I never even sat in before along with my own vehicle that's almost paid off to get into another vehicle with a company that already did fraudulent business with me. My friend and I can both file lawsuits if needed as we both know we signed paperwork and we both know no paperwork was ever given to us like promised. I want to know where the original paperwork is along with the signed paperwork from all 3 of us stating I would be removed from the financing within 3-4 months and put into my friends name who I was supposed to be cosigning for. Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/10/18) */ A copy of the original contract has been uploaded to this case file. Only ****** ********'s info is on the contract and only her signatures. There is no document in our database stating anything about "removing someone from financing in 3-4 months". Autoflex keeps full records on all of our deals. There are also no documents in our database with multiple signatures. If ****** would like another copy of the paperwork she signed on delivery, please have her provide us with an updated mailing address.

Auto flex leasing has run my credit 4 times to loan companies, they wasn't authorized to do this. We had financing thru capital one and they were aware, and told specifically not to search else where.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/22/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/17) */ Mr. ***** was informed of the process to dispute credit inquiries through the 3 credit agencies (Equifax, Trans Union, Experian) via phone and online by the General Manager of Autoflex. This is an easy process and one that can only be initiated by Mr. *****. Autoflex cannot rescind the inquiries. After Mr. ***** disputes the inquiries (by phone or online), the credit reporting agency will send Autoflex a letter asking if these inquires were authorized. When Autoflex does not confirm that these inquiries were authorized, the credit reporting agencies will remove the inquires. This was explained to Mr. ***** twice via phone by the General Manager, and we will be happy to assist Mr. ***** with this request.
