In November my family members asked me to Move in with them, I never thought I would ever move but was excited! I was contacted by several groups that either wanted to buy or list the property located in *******,*****. One such group was Rise Realty! ***** came out and looked at the property and took pictures. They made me an offer which I refused! I had just installed a new a/c unit, put in a new fence and painted the exterior of the house. I had also had solar power installed and owed a large amount on the lease. I told their represenative, named ***********************, about the solar lease and that it can be assumed. He then called his office and they agreed to assume the lease which amounted to over $46,000! After they agreed to assume the lease verbally, I signed an agreement to sell them my house for $210,000, understanding that they could and would assume the solar lease.Then the Friday before Christmas a man. *****, representing Rise Reality said they would not assume the lease and expected me to sell them the house for $210,000 but I had to pay both the A/C, and solar loans off with that money! I told them NO! And asked to get out of the contract because that was not what we had agreed on. They refused! I have refused to surrender to their tactics and tried to sell it to another company but they have refused to release their claim. I feel that Rise Reality has taken unfair advantage of a senior citizen! I am 77 yrs old and when I grew up, an agreement was law!Please beware of this company as I truly believe that they did all of this with foreknowledge so they could basically steal my property. It has been appraised at over $300,000 with improvements. Do I have any right to cancel a contract when they agreed one thing and then refused to honor it?
