As a first time homeowner I was not helped properly to truly understand how the mortgage company functions in the process of buying a home. The mortgage loan was inflated by this company and the realtor. Additionally I was told that I had to get my home appraisal done by a local appraiser, and that it was not proper for me to request my own appraiser prior to purchasing. The appraiser that they assigned did nothing - he did not even go inside the home and this will need another complaint for the appraisal company. I addressed issues that I noticed in the appraisal that were NOT pointed out as any issues at all by the mortgage company, nor the realtor, nor the appraiser himself. Additionally the mortgage company and realtor later assured me that the issues I pointed out after the appraisal were all fixed and properly repaired. This was a lie. The mortgage loan was inflated in the area purchased, for a home that could not meet code. This company rushed me through the purchase during a time that I notified them of a person situation that I needed to make sure would be safe for me to live in this home. They were dishonest in selling me this home in addition to inflating the loan amount. Upon moving in, this mortgage company denied to assist me with the costly issues that impact health and financial repairs needed that I found and reported to this mortgage company the 2nd day after moving into the home. I was not helped by the mortgage company nor their attached realtor.
