Could not be more disappointed in this service. First, they took multiple samples for us. We brought the well driller guy out, and the first thing he told us is that one of the locations we paid to survey was not available because it was too close to the boundary line. The survey company, knowing we are looking to put in a well, should have known and told us that. So, we went to one of the other locations. The drilling started and they found over 200 feet of shale and rock. No voids for where water could flow, no sand, nothing to indicate water could possibly be where the survey was taken. We spent thousands of dollars for absolutely nothing. Very disappointed and cannot recommend them.

      American Water Surveyors Response

      11/03/2022

We are licensed professional engineers and geologists, with over 60 years combined experience. We have conducted surveys in 23 states, and have successfully completed over 1000 positive results from water well drilling based upon our recommendations. See: WeFindWater.com or call XXX-XXX-XXXX to schedule your groundwater survey quote.

We have completed multiple successful drilling results within this client's subdivision.

American Water Surveyors, (AWS) thank this client for the valuable feedback and we have worked diligently to provide the highest quality service for all of our customers. We do not have any business relationship with the client's reference to "the well driller guy" as mentioned. We do not know what level of service this drilling company provided for our client. Likewise, we did not charge this client "thousands of dollars" as claimed.

We did receive a drilling report from the client that clearly indicated the INCORRECT GPS coordinates, not what we provided in the report, which we interpret as the client's "well driller guy", may have drilled the wrong location. Unless clients hire us as consultants, we do not do research to find out what legal standoff from the boundary is required for a given region or county.

We use state of the art technology to survey each clients' property, with the objective of finding groundwater using seismic technology, combined with electrical-resistivity logging. We conduct our surveys based upon client needs, with indications from the client as to where we should test. We do conduct regional geological studies prior to arrival and make recommendations as to testing sites.

I personally conducted this survey, and I recommended to the homeowner that we test in the front yard area, based upon our geospatial review of the region, yet, the owner demanded that I test in the back yard area. The client also told me to "not test here" at my recommended location in the back yard, since he was going to install a swimming pool. I conceded to the client requirement and tested where he wanted to test.

This company, AWS, is charged with finding groundwater where it exists within the property boundary, not where the client wants it to exist, and we are highly successful in this regard.

I again thank our client for the opportunity to conduct a survey, and I wish the the kindest regards.
