      05/03/2024

******************** had his unit towed in to our show on 4/1/2024.  On the afternoon of 4/1, his unit was moved to the center bay of our Heavy Equipment Bays to prepare for inspection of damages, which would require unit teardown.  Late on 4/1, ****************** requested that the unit not be torn down to assess damages and that he would first like an estimate of likely repairs - technician suspected that unit would need to have the transmisison fully replaced.  An Estimate was provided on 4/2/2024.  The morning of 4/3, ******************** called and said that he could not afford the repair.  He then emailed to say that he was going to tow the unit out.  ******************** was advised that his unit was currently in our **********, and that unfortunately, because of the condition of the units on either side of his unit, could not be immediately removed. Unfortunately, for this type of work, we only have so many bays that this work can be performed in, and while it is unusual for us to have several torn down units at the same time in these bays, that was the case, and based on arrival times, his was in the middle.  We advised him that we should be able to have his unit cleared in the morning.  We also advised him that the invoice for diagnostics would need to be paid before unit could be removed. Two hours later, ******************** arrived to remove his unit.   ******************** then told us he would have his unit towed out on Friday 4/5/2024.  By the afternoon of Thursday 4/4/2024, his unit had been removed from our shop and was ready and waiting in our fenced yard to be towed out.  ******************** arrived Friday 4/5/24 to pay his invoice and tow his unit out.  Neither our dealership nor our team members are "cons" and we kept ******************** appraised of the situation with his unit the entire time his unit was in our shop.

Dear BBB Complaint Department,I am writing to file a complaint regarding the service experience had at ****************************************** dealer. My name is ***********************, and I am the owner of Seven *****************On 1/25/24, one of our trucks was brought to your dealership for a water pump issue. Unfortunately, during the water pump replacement, the service technician inadvertently damaged the fan clutch wire, rendering it inoperable. Subsequently, I spoke with ****, a representative of your dealership, regarding the issue. She informed me that the necessary part was on backorder, with no definite timeline for availability.**** suggested a temporary fix to make the truck drivable to its destination, assuring me that the fan clutch would need replacement as soon as possible. However, at no point during our conversation was the price of the fan clutch disclosed. Based on ****'s recommendation, I agreed to the temporary fix, assuming it would be a reasonable solution given the circumstances.Upon receiving the invoice, I was shocked to discover that the fan clutch replacement cost $1,728.46, a significant amount that was not disclosed during our initial conversation. This unexpected expense has caused undue financial strain on my business, especially considering the assurances given by your representative.I have attached all relevant receipts and documentation to support my complaint. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and provide a resolution that is fair and satisfactory. My expectation is either a refund of the difference between the initially quoted labor cost and the actual cost of the fan clutch replacement, or a reasonable adjustment to the final invoice to reflect the true cost of the service provided.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a prompt and satisfactory resolution.Sincerely,*********************** Owner, Seven *****************
