I purchased a van in April it's now Oct an I have still yet to receive my tags an title for the vehicle, due to a lean? On the vehicle that they were still able to sell me?. It's time for maintenance on the vehicle but I'm not comfortable with spending xx amount of money on the vehicle if somethings like this ain't right... I'm on my 4th or 5th temporary tag now. I asked the salesman what we could do bout the situation an he thought it was rather humerus...

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/10/13) */ We would like to apologize to the customer. The vehicle that was purchased had a California title and it took forever to get California and Texas to get the title work completed. The tags were delivered to the customer on 10/12/2022. Please close this file. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/10/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) They delivered the tag's for said vehicle. I just find it rather odd that almost immediately after I filed the complaint with the BBB I got my plates but it took nearly 6 months for y'all to get em from California?

I was/am interested in getting vehicle for my business. I filled out business credit app and a man named Andy told me it was the business niche to pull personal credit for business and hope that it's approved so that they can sell a vehicle: I instructed this man to NOT pull my personal credit and he did it anyway. This man shouldn't be allowed to have this position. He lied to me and messed my credit up. Do not go here!

I am writing on behalf of my son, ******* ******. He purchased for cash a 2007 Mercedes sedan in November of 2021. He drove it 2,000 miles and the engine was discovered to have serious damage. He spent $1,200 to do a repair. He has now discovered that the car is having transmission problems. We do not know how bad yet but anticipate a very expensive repair When the salesman sold this car to him he called it a diamond in the rough. It has been anything but. I know we take chances on used cars. But my son has Cerebral Palsy. A car is absolutely vital for him to function in the community. I believe this company may have looked at a disabled young man and took advantage of him to dump a bad car. My son is now stuck with enormous bills, if he is even able to repair it. I believe this was at the very least a fraudulent sale, and at worse potential discrimination

      04/13/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/08) */ The customer purchased a 14-year-old vehicle with 126,460 miles on it. The customer has the ability prior to purchasing any used vehicle, to have that vehicle checked/inspected by any person/company/facility besides the dealership in which they purchase from. This vehicle left the dealership in perfect condition and did not have any issues until 2,000 miles after customer took delivery. The dealership cannot be held liable for any damage to the vehicle after it leaves the facility due to the fact the customer is at liberty to drive their vehicle in manner they wish. Whether it be the customer's driving habits or normal wear and tear on a 14-year-old 126,000-mile vehicle that caused the damage, the dealership is not liable for any such repairs. The customer acknowledged and signed a AS-IS NO WARRANTY statement on their purchase dated 11/1/2021 (see attachment). Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/03/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) For a vehicle to drive 2000 miles and suddenly have major engine trouble, and the business to not be aware of any issues, demonstrates that either the business does not know the condition of the cars they sell, or knew and looked for an unsuspecting person to get rid of it. My son was sold on the car because the dealer assured him they would do a thorough review of the cars condition. They knew he was disabled and needed a car,and they took advantage of his situation. So either they did not check the car as they promised, or they did and said nothing to him. Because he requires hand controls to be installed he could not take it to a mechanic. He trusted this dealer who promised him it would be reliable. 2,000 miles is a very short time to have a problem develop. The problems were already there, and i believe the dealer knew it and saw an opportunity with a disabled young man they could take advantage of. He has missed job interviews due to this. He has struggled to get groceries. Maybe nothing comes of this complaint as far as helping him. But if anything the dealer knows that they made life very much harder for someone who already has it tough. They know what they did. Legal perhaps. But immoral and unethical. Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2022/03/24) */ The customer purchased a 14-year-old vehicle with 126,460 miles on it. The customer has the ability prior to purchasing any used vehicle, to have that vehicle checked/inspected by any person/company/facility besides the dealership in which they purchase from. Consumer Response /* (4200, 13, 2022/03/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Again the business is hiding behind its "as is" document. The car is an older car. It was driven 2,000 miles and suddenly the check engine light came on. It was discovered to need a new timing chain, brake vacuum, spark plugs, plug coils and has a clogged fuel injector. You do not cause this in 2,000 miles. The car had these issues and were either ignored by the dealer or they did not "thoroughly check" the vehicle as the salesman "Jett" promised. I believe they saw a disabled young man they could take advantage of by dumping a bad car, and so long as he signed their as is form they had no consequence. He requires hand controls to be installed so he could not take the car to a mechanic to look it over until after he had the controls installed, which is obviously after he bought it. Again they have a legal document. But ethically and morally they are bankrupt. My son has shared his story with everyone he knows to keep others from getting suckered by this dealership. They can hide all they want behind their as is document. But what they did to him was wrong. He has struggled to find work without a car. He is out the money spent for the car, and going on $3,000 in repairs. The dealer, specifically this salesman Jett, know what they did to him and it seems they could not care any less. My son signed their form, trusting their promise he was sold a reliable car. Their website says they will sell a "reliable model" from a "trustworthy team". This experience says the opposite. We are trying to help our son raise money for a car so he can find work and do things like buy groceries. Jett and this dealership made that incredibly difficult for a young man who already has huge challenges living with CP. I hope they can live with the challenge knowing they hurt him instead of helping him. But seeing that they just keep saying he signed their form, that obviously doesn't bother them one bit.

I purchased a 2022 Nissan Leaf from Jett he was a great salesman everything went great at first. I sent in my paperwork to Jett the following day to get filled out by a dealership representative for the electric vehicle state rebate. Jet followed up and let me know A Ms. Karen is the one he gave the documents to. Jett is no long with the dealership. I've been waiting almost 30 days and have not received any updates or my paperwork. I left voicemails for Karen and even spoke to a manager who said he would return my call in 20 minutes when he found something out and failed to do so. I recently managed to get a hold of Adam in finance who asked me to send him my paperwork and it have been almost 24-48 hours without hearing back I left a voicemail and didn't hear back. I am needing my forms promptly. I will withdraw my complaints once my issue has been fixed, and I was looking forward to continuing business with McGavock Nissan after having bad experiences with Clay Cooley Nissan. Hopefully this complaint will grab someone's attention and we can resolve the issue.

False advertising and bait and switch tactics by car dealership. After hours I sent an online correspondence about an ad they placed for a 2008 Saturn. 3 employees one who claimed to be the manager all confirmed availability and scheduled my appointment for the first slot the following morning when they opened. I arrived before they open and I was the first customer there. They informed me they didn't have the car they advertised even though 3 people over email and phone calls confirmed they had it. Then they quickly shifted to trying to sell me cars 4 times the price of the fake ad they lured me in with.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/04) */ We aplogize for any miscommunication with the customer. The vehicle listed was a 2008 Saturn Aura that was deemed to be a wholesale unit and not retail. We make those determinations based on year make model and miles after the Service Department inspects the vehicle. This particular model was not worthy of being sold to the public so the unit in question was moved to wholesale and will be sold at an auction. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/11/05) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Absolutely not ture. I attached the ad where they were selling the vehicle. I attached my appointment where they confirmed the vehicle. I attached my phone call history showing the manager called me and confirmed it was for sell and made an appointment for me to come by it. I was the first to arrive for the first appointment of the day. If the car was wholesaled then why did they publish if for sell and why did they confirm it with me and set an appointment for me to buy it. Not to mention their complete un-professionalism of being 45 mins late to their own appointment. This place is a scam and they are lying to get people in the door. The state of Texas currently has an investigation open on them for multiple complaints of false advertising and bait and switch tactics. I will be informing them of my intent to sue this week. There are civil penalties for the crime they are committing Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/11/08) */ Here is what I will do for this customer. First, the car was not sold wholesale. It was stated that the car would be wholesaled (the vehicle cannot be wholesaled to another dealer since the title is Canadian and requires a country-to-country transfer). Second, please let me know what time he would like to meet at the dealership to purchase this 2008 Saturn Aura. The price I believe was advertised for $3,992 plus TT&L. The car currently is registered in the country of Canada. That means the title will have to get registered in the United States. This process will take somewhere between 4-16 weeks. The car has multiple mechanical issues and we will require the customer to sign no less than (2) AS-IS NO WARRANTY statements for this vehicle. That means when he pays for the car, we cannot be held liable for the time it takes the State of Texas and the Government of Canada to transfer the title work and also we cannot be held liable for the multiple mechanical issues currently with the vehicle. If the customer will have his money ready and a date and time in which he would like to make arrangement to pick up his used vehicle we will handle the appropriate paperwork. We can only grant him a temporary tag for 30 days. Upon the completion of that 30 days, if the title work has not been completed then the vehicle will have to be parked until the Texas Tag Agency can finalize the title work transferring it from Canada to United States via the state of Texas. Upon completion of that task, we can then register it in his name. Thank you and we look forward to finalizing this deal with the customer. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2021/11/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This dispute has nothing to do with selling me this car now. I have already purchased a car from an honest dealer. This complaint is about advertising a car for sale that wasnt for sale. The car was actually listed at 3,000 I attached the ad for proof. If a car was in such horrible condition and not able to be sold in the US why did they advertise it in the first place? Why did the manager call me and tell me what a good deal this was and schedule me an appointment to come see it? Why did another person confirm availability via email? Maybe they should be honest upfront and not list a car for sell that they have no intention of selling. In the US that is a crime. They have been reported to the state. You cannot advertise false or misleading ads in this country. You cannot bait and switch customers which is exactly what they did to me. They knew they had no intentions of selling this car but they lied to me anyway to get me in the door which I drove 1 hour from my appointment that they were late to by 45 mins. This complaint is about holding them accountable for deceptive business practices. Since I posted my reviews online I have been inundated with people that they have done the exact same thing with. They have a history of doing this and it is unethical. I will be suing in court for the civil penalties associated with this unethical business practice. Along with a few others who have the same experience dealing with this location. The civil penalties for this are 5,000 and that is what I am seeking from them. I will not be doing business now or in the future with these scam artists.

On 7/5/21 I took my 2018 Mustang to McGavock in Rockwall. My windshield had a chip in it when I bought it and they said my windshield would be replaced. When I picked my Mustang up on 7/8/21 the chip had only been filled in and was not filled in right. I spoke with the GM Ronnie before I even left on 7/8/21, who stated he would replace the windshield as original agreed upon when I purchased the vehicle. Over the past several months I have tried to speak with them about this issue. The lady who answers the phones will not let me speak to him and says I need to leave a message. The GM or any manager will not call me back. Would just like my windshield replaced like original agreed upon.
