Asked about a leak at hot water heater & got conned into a 13k with 17k interest for full home recipe. Then to top it off have less hot water than I originally did in furthest bathroom that technician said could have been caused by the repipe. Asked if I wanted an estimate to fix.

Sadly I have found out Bacon's sewer replacement we paid $36,000 is 3 to 4 times what it should have cost (less than $9,000, probably closer to $5,000). They were the third company we had out for the sewer issue, and we were taken in by the seeming respectful way we were treated. When given the quote, we had no idea what the price should be and we were running out of time to fix it before things got serious. I was shocked, and I commented, "that's a car payment." But the financing was approved and they could begin almost right away. In all fairness the work seemed top-notch and we've had no problems (the reason for the two stars). But I'm left feeling duped and extremely taken advantage of, and we'll be in debt the rest of our lives for this one repair while forced to postpone other critical items such as roof and external water mitigation. This is by far the most expensive "stupid tax" I've ever paid.

My 89 year old father called Bacon on a Saturday morning. He specifically asked if he would be charged a weekend fee because if so he would wait until Monday to have his hot water heater repaired. They said no weekend fee. They said it would be $39 travel fee only. After an hours work AND my dad supplied the part, he was charged $500. My dad asked for an invoice after paying. They said they would email it to him. That never happened. I called and asked for one. They sent and after reviewing, he was charged $200 for weekend. I called to inquire. The lady admitted on the telephone that in the notes it said to charge $39. She said accounting would review and call me. Instead, the next day, accounting called my dad and said they would send a check for the overcharge. Several weeks later and no check. My sister and myself were both hung up on when we called to ask about the check.

Sounds and seems to me that this company has basically the same method each time of scamming people out of their money. Their "Family & Friends" plan is another way they make
money. Before doing any work, the front office is so friendly including technicians. It's quite an impressive show. Then they go upstairs to supposedly do the work. This is what they said they did (even though they weren't up there long enough to do what the job list said they did.)
Beware of their free once or twice a year FREE check up. Yet, another way to find no problems, but end up charging anywhere for $!k-$2K for basically doing nothing, maybe one or two of the
easier to do. These were the jobs they said they did and the charge for doing each one of them :Pull & Clean Blower Assembly-$405.97, Clean Evaporator Coil-$290.69, Install a drain/purge valve-$237.15, Wired in series with "Y" wire from thermostat- $237.15, Condensate Pan Treatment-$94.43 Totaling- $1, 265.39. I have no idea where they get their final pricing.

I contend that these prices were way over what the average/normal prices would be. Also,
I have my doubts if any of these services were even performed. One reason for the non-performance is that he forgot to do something, went back up to do it and came back down in less than two minutes.

I am requesting a full refund from Bacon Plumbing and Roof services performed at **** *********** Drive- Plano, TX. on 12-20-21 It appears after they have your money,
there's only one man who can help you. He is either on another line, out of the office, or attending a meeting. When you do get to leave a message, you may or may not receive a call back. I had never heard of Bacon P & R company until about three months ago. This company
may well be one of those that run from one town to another to scam people.

One other thing that bothers me is the young service techs. that are learning this business of
stealing people's money.

Bacon charged me $1726 to replace a leaking customer valve and the pipe of 15 inches long which connects the customer valve to the water meter. It was a rip off. The fair price should be much less. It was my mistake to accept the price as I don't know much about plumbing and didn't do research about the company or the cost to do similar job. Stay way from this company. If you have to do business with them, you should check with other plumbing serves about the cost. Otherwise, you will probably pay a dear price. As I know, their technicians work on commission, which easily leads to over charge for their own gains.
